I geeked out and waited in line at a local store at midnite. There was one guy there since 7am, he has been the 1st person to get both COD Console and Game on each release since MW2. He got a free t-shirt, hat, headset, poster and axe gift bag. i was the 19th person in line, all i got was a poster and axe gift bag. got home installed it right away and off i went. I enjoy both the graphics and the game play. Still day one and whatnot, but i am enjoying it! Ran into a bunch of loudmouths and crap but its expected...When does our server go active? Sometime today hopefully. It said it was out for delivery. It should be a kick in the ass. Damn Chile, Steam isn't that bad. And buying map packs, well that is the way of the future. A lot of games are starting to do that. You have to pay to play. It isn't Steam that is charging for the map packs. Well it is, but you are just paying through Steam. The game companies still get most of the money. I actually like Steam. It handles are of your friends and updates automatically. Not at all like it used to be. I don't know how many times I had to find an update for COD5. I would come on to play and no servers, I had the wrong version. So I had to manually update every time. Pain in the ass. Graphics are very nice - take a bit of getting used to. Game play is quick, weapons OK; all-in-all, a smooth, nice-looking game with acceptable speed. I like the game and will pretty much be playing this - and COD5; BF3 doesn't quite do it for me and a touch of arthritis is slowing me down in the fast-paced COD4 DM server. I hope our MW3 server is free-for-all or I'll be elsewhere. Expensive, but I'd say worth the money. As to map packs, whatcha gonna do? I'll buy them.
