hey hacke®

the first 2 week is very hard. If u want a cigarette, go away, play, have sex, read a good book, Your feel like to smoke is just for a while ( 5 min)

It's hard but not impossible, u can do it! And you will be free! :welcome: the end of smoke is the most difficult!

i quit smoking almost 4 years ago, and the first few months are hard, esspecially the first month. Just keep in mind the cause you are doing it for, its worth while. Whenever i thought of a cigarette i put a chewy gum in my mouth. Now i dont even think about cigarettes no more and i dont miss them either. Wish you all the strenght you need to win this battle xD.

Sorry to hear about the diabetes man. Why not try not going cold turkey? My buddy used e-cigarettes for a few weeks and eventually weaned himself off that way. Good luck to you!

Best of luck to you us x smokers know how tough it can be. I used to smoke sometimes 3 large packs a day. I still want one now and again but I will not give in. Remember it only took one to get started and it will only take one more to kill you. Stick to it you can do it.

Good job Hacke !

i myself stopped smoking more than 8 months now, with the help of the electronic cigarette.

so i still get my nicotine but none of all the bad stuff that contains their shitty cigarettes.

(and nicotine isnt bad)

Now i am really disgusted by them.

I can't stay near someone smoking one, it really annoys me.

lungs are in good shape now, i can breath more, smell more, ... everything is better ;) so keep on .. not smoking

I quit 20 years ago after smoking for years, I quit cold Turkey. One of the hardest things I ever did.

I kept the mindset that if I picked up a smoke, I just wasted how ever long it was in hard work at that given time.

After a few months, I figured I put way to much effort into it to fuck up now.

I knew I had it beat when I went to a wedding and got blasted and did not smoke.

It took about 2 years to loose the urge to smoke.

If that is not addiction I don't know what is.

every day it will get easier. 5 days you are over the huge hump. Pick up a new habit. Gum, Chew on a Straw. Just replace the habit. It will help you succeed.

Good luck and great job doing what you need to help yourself out.

You will come up with all kinds of reason to talk yourself into having one but don't do it. No sense in going through it again. Keep going it will be worth it .

Congratulations on making it through your 1st week. I quit two months ago and yes each day that passes, it does get easier. You begin to miss it less and less plus it will begin to stink when you smell someone smoking. Sugar free gum is a good idea. Read up on stress and coping mechanisms/stress management. There are many other alternatives out there that make stress more tolerable....you just have to find the technique that works for you. Also stress can effect your blood glucose. Here is a good article for you :w00t:http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-diabetes/complications/stress.html Good Luck!!!
