One of the hardest things I ever did. I kept the mindset that if I picked up a smoke, I just wasted how ever long it was in hard work at that given time. After a few months, I figured I put way to much effort into it to fuck up now. I knew I had it beat when I went to a wedding and got blasted and did not smoke. It took about 2 years to loose the urge to smoke. If that is not addiction I don't know what is. hxtr 1 Awards

I quit two months ago and yes each day that passes, it does get easier. You begin to miss it less and less plus it will begin to stink when you smell someone smoking. Sugar free gum is a good idea. Read up on stress and coping mechanisms/stress management. There are many other alternatives out there that make stress more tolerable....you just have to find the technique that works for you. Also stress can effect your blood glucose. Here is a good article for you http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-diabetes/complications/stress.html Good Luck!!!
