Lets set some things straight. The US Server gets the most traffic. The EU Server gets the 2nd most traffic. The US Hardcore gets the third. Now that thats out of the way, why the fuck would we want to get rid of the higher populated servers? Guess what? BOTH servers had even HIGHER populations before the US Hardcore server was started. So whatever your basis is for thinking this is BULLSHIT, is, well, BULLSHIT in itself. Making fun of Admins for trying to help populate the servers that you love to play on? Wow. What a commendable thing for a member to do.. I dont sit and try to populate the server for my own good. I do it for members and for the future well being of the clan. I do it to try and get good people in the server that we can then eventually invite into our family. Perhaps if others had this same attitude we wouldnt be having this discussion. With a shitty-ass douchebag attitude like that I hope when we remove it, that not only your money goes, but that you go too. Its the likes of you we dont need plaguing us. Here you are, happily enjoying the service your Admins and Leader spend great deals of time and money on. All while not providing any real value to the clan, and then acting like children when something doesn't go your way. Instead of criticizing or pissing and moaning, why don't you find a way to help or contribute. Insane.. Who knew there were so many whiners, bitchers and moaners that surround us. US are keeping their soft porn server EU are taking minimap off to go hardcore porn your still going to get your fix of proper hardcore and soft core from both servers and not splitting the hard core players over 1 large server and 1 small server. Thus is it not better to play in the larger hc server (before anyone shouts about small maps I have always seen bf games as large maps with combined arms) Also as to hackers it's easier to catch a hacker when minimap is off as there's less of a not sure if he saw him on minimap when he pre fired while walking round the corner. I don't think you understand, they are not shutting down a Hardcore server in favor of a soft core server, instead they are merging both of our hardcore servers into one hardcore server. you still get to play the same game type with the same people and the only thing that's really changing are the maps and maybe your ping. I keep hearing the word "Community" a real community would have got together and tried to make this server work but as we see many were hostile from the very beginning so we were always up against it, you may as well pull the plug on it now can't see why we should wait another month. Indeed, the questions I am about to ask really go beyond this single game and could be applied to any supported by the clan for which it provides servers... We have already established that the clan is in good financial health and the reason(s) behind the suggestion that we lose a BF4 server are not connected with the expense of maintaining it. It has been made abundantly clear in the preceding messages from Admins that a significant driving force behind the idea is recruitment. There is a turnover of members with some departing but, as the recent influx amply demonstrates, there is hardly a problem with recruiting new blood. The clan has grown at least 25% in size in four years AFAICR and we have a lot of great players with tags, many of whom have a good sense of humour. So, my first question is: why are the BF4 Admins seemingly obsessed by recruitment? The clan isn't a business so why is there this perceived insatiable appetite to add to its numbers? (I'm hoping that the answer won't reveal a liking for 'pissing competitions'...) Second question - this one relates, perhaps, more to the specific topic of this thread... Are the clan servers operated primarily for the benefit of its members or for visitors? Third question: To what extent does an interest in server rankings drive the Admins to consider making changes to the servers the clan operates? I am sad the eu has lost the support off the breakfast club. It has changed the dynamics of the servers . But changes need to made . As you are are very passionate about the 24 man server . And money was never an issue. We will be keeping it . It is populated by XI members so that is a good thing . The eu server will also be going true hardcore . It's something I have tried numerous times but have not been successful . Basically it was like this thread but in game . So we Are keeping the 24 true hardcore server. If the decision to keep the 24 man hardcore server is sorted now , then is the EU server gonna remain hardcore as it is at the moment without the minimap? I don’t get it, you just admitted that now that the eu server removed the minimap, which is what you guys originally wanted, that there is no need for another server. You also just acknowledged that you see and cannot argue with the fact that there is a problem with the distribution of players in the two HC servers. So I guess my question is, given what we just learned are you still against merging the two servers to fix this, and if so why? Is ping the only reason at this point?
