Here I worked so hard to get back up and online only to find out my new louse is going shit on me. I talked to Logitech support yesterday and they are replacing it for me. I was just wanting to fix mit and keep playing but it is the port in the front of the mouse and its not allowing enough power to get thru to keep the battery charged even tho the battery level shows it's completely charged! It seems I have had the worst luck with hardware the last few years and lately they went bad before the warrantee ran out!

Now all I can do is wait but I seem to have tons of patience for that! lol Yeah right! lol

You seem to be the sacrificial lamb to the computer gods.  My stuff is working great though so thanks.

On a serious note if there is one, I got away from wireless mice and went back to a trusty wired Corsair mouse.  Tired of charging or changing batteries.

But SOB... you will have a micro millisecond lag between a wired mouse and a wireless. You gaming can be so much better if you wired up. lol

Wireless all the way. Light speed is light speed.

Then the issue is prolly not that it has a dead battery...

1) how far away is the receiver?

2) Does the mouse work better the closer you get to the receiver?

3) Is the cursor movement intermittent or none at all?

4) Batteries in wireless mice last for freak'in ever... it cant' be the case that the batteries are randomly going dead.

5) Have you ever had an issue with wireless mice before? RF com systems aren't magic... there could be something nearby causing too much radio noise. Plasma globes and lava lamps are classic for raising the noise floor enough to disrupt wireless devices.

I agree, wireless batteries last for freak'in ever....

On a separate note, I will never go back to wireless mice lol. Too much weight in the mouse, more expensive, and wired mice definitely have less latency.  hehehe

Computer systems have lots and lots of cords. Why is a mouse cord just too much to handle?

Because the cord getting snagged.. in the way many times... restricted movement and no one here is good enough for it to make a difference.

I play with very high sensitivity. I don't actually move my hand around very much. (especially up and down). I never notice my cord getting snagged. I think that just comes down to properly running the cable and keeping it from pulling tight.

I went thru all the testing and I dont even have the wireless jacki installed. It randomly turns off especially when I use it hard time like holding it on. Yes I have had probs with several other mice but they were hard wired as well and it ended up being the scroll wheel (they just stopped working) broke on all them as I use it for my knife button because it is so easy to hit and my fingers are numb on that hand! If it is something else I would be excited to know to stop this freaking freak show! lol

well, installing drivers is nice... they should install automatically when you plug it in though.

It kinda sounds like you wail on the mice until they break.... then buy new mice. Am I far off? haha

I have a huge mouse pad. My sensitivity is set very low... plus I'm Inverted. :)

I gave up on wireless mice for gaming, light use they are fine. I've never had a wireless mouse I gamed with last longer than 6 months, avg lifespan is 3 months before they start doing goofy stuff or just die.

Corded Mice are much harder to throw during fits of nerd-rage, you have to get up to unplug it to get any satifaction from the throw... cordless mice don't stand a chance
