Possible static discharge while plugging something in could have messed them up. I did that accidentally to my current pc, 3 of the 6 on the back no longer work. Awards

It might be a loose connection. BigPapaDean 1

Intel tested and it can be tested. Path of least resistant. Take out everything that is not needed and see if that fixes it. But you have to start fresh. Get Linux... make a disk out of an ISO. Boot off it. Ubuntu... Pearl and more are free and they are free troubleshooting tools. If you can't boot off the disk and make things run that is supposed to it might have a problem other than drivers. Get something that is supposed to work and test it and compare results.

You might take the computer and bring it to a local computer store for a little check up. This may cost you some bucks but you may get rid of the problem much faster than talking to phone agents which are reading predefined questions out of a binder and try to keep you of the 2nd level support.

I would shut the unit down, discharge static, pull everything apart except the HDD,SSD,DISC DRIVE,CPU,GPU and remount everything slowly as to recheck every connection for looseness or frayed wires. Look for wobbly posts. When you have problems such as in your description, it,in most cases, comes down to faulty hardware or loose connections that can be recrimped if you have the dexterity to do so. Just remember, the hardware is truly not complex. Its getting simpler every day to build or fix a rig. Everything is generally labeled and you can order new USB ports and wires. Process of elimination!! Pen and paper!! Oh yeah and coffee. Good luck! Syckle 1
