4t4 has a new map out. I've got it up on the main redirect the FT server and the dm custom maps 2 server. Its called mp_rb. Here's a link to MU's site with some info on it.

Seems to work in NamFT ok.  Will add to next weeks rotation and see how it goes with a full house but I like the map.

There a couple places that you get stuck one the village map, but the real problem is as soon as you release the hounds, ci start really bad.  Bad to the point that you have to exit the server and change the map.  Is there any way that you can shut the dogs off?  I like this map don't want to see it go away

the ci because of dogs is usually the mod not the map. We can turn off the dogs in the map by doing this ?

 

on the ace mod servers under weaponcontrol scroll down to 

 

//Dogs removed from maps and add this line

 

set scr_hardpoint_allowdogs_mp_rb "0"

 

in an openwarefare mod ie FT modern weapons

 go to gameplay/hardpoints and add 

 

set scr_hardpoint_allowdogs_mp_rb "0"    to the //dogs setting. Thats if its turned on in that mod.

 

 Now I can't get into any server this am so this is a guess. I got the line address from my back ups so I think its right.

The dogs make the server/map lag really bad. everybody goes too 999 ping when dogs are released.  Like Labob says.. this is the mods fault and not the map. this can be fixed on our side.

I will try to explain.  By the stair case at the edge of the map, the reddish walls, the wall ruins.  If you crouch down there you get stuck.  Also at the end of the road where the barb wire and burning barrels are, you can actually back the tank in there, but you cant walk in there.  If you get out of the tank when your there, if you run up the hill, you fall off the map

Typically the 999 at consistent events mean script errors or some kind of undefined variable causing a bad loop. Could even be a bad model if its custom. Which in turn causes the game to write huge amounts of data to the console log within a few seconds. Sometimes megabytes. If its map specific, maybe something in a path node that is missing? I dont know cod5 or dogs but I assume there are a lot of them so they can navigate the map like in UT. Next time it happens save the console log then zip it up to so people can check it out.

There is a small glitch here.  When you jump up onto the roof you fall through the map.  Is a good place to go if you can just clip it so a player can still go there.
