Okey so first of all; I'm in no way a computer expert so helping me would require to explain like im 5. I've had this laptop for quite some time now, and I only use it when I can't access my computer (I'm currently back home at my dads and didnt bother to bring it on a plane), but fixing it has been on my mind for a while and I'm hoping my fellow XI's could help me!

The PC is an HP ENVY m6, about 3 y/o. I've had this bluescreen problem from the day I got it and I've sent it back for reparation five times with no luck (apparantly Norwegians cant deal with this one). I've recently completely formatted the PC and installed windows 10 on it, which by luck didnt bring any additional issues to the pc, or new bcod-codes.

Here are some of the error messages I've gotten recently;

IRQL not less or equal

System thread exception not handled

Attempted write to readonly memory

Page fault in nonpaged area

Memory management

System service exception

Kernel data inpage error

Unfortunately I didnt note the codes that's in parenthesis behind the message itself..

If you need more information about the PC itself let me know! Don't really know whats important to inform about or not.

That sounds like a HDD issue primarily, and a RAM issue secondarily.

I'd first suggest doing a chkdsk (Google for instructions), if you have bad sectors on the HDD then it could well be the cause.

As for the RAM, I'd buy more. Never hurts the machine to have more RAM and will improve performance.

Lastly, I've only ever seen the IRQL message when there's been a motherboard failure.

IRQ is basically a priority thing for hardware. Perhaps you have many items connected to USB Hubs and the PC doesn't know how to prioritize them right.

When you reinstall OSes, the old files are overwritten but some stays. Do a clean install after zero filling hard drive.

1) Make a reinstall DVD

2) Find your Key Code (from COA or use Magic Jelly Bean to find it)

3) Burn a DBAN (Dariks Boot and Nuke) disc, and quick erase HDD (overwrites whole HDD with zeros) (disconnected thumb drives, so they don't get overwritten)

4) Reinstall OS

If you upgraded to Win 10, make a reinstall DVD of that. Your Win 7/8 license has upgraded to a Win 10 license.

Odds are it might not be broken hardware, sometimes when you add a second OS or resize partition you get weird errors.

There are 2 places to look for information

Event viewer should have a list of system errors and the codes associated with them

or

C:/Windows/Minidump/

chances are its a hardware problem, but since it's win10 there is a good chance the system installed or is still using a generic driver that doesn't exactly run the hardware right. microsofts one size fits all driver scheme doesn't always work out especially with the chipset drivers

Like Chill said I would run chkdsk first. If that checks out, burn Memtest .iso and boot from it and check your memory; http://www.memtest.org/

@@Slackernet I doubt win10 is the issue. When I first bought it, it had win8 on it. After the first "reparation" they wiped it and installed win7. The bluescreens happened on both versions, and now win10 too.

And thank you all! I'll try going through your suggestions and keep you updated.

look under laptop for the model # then go to hp support   look up your computer  and check  drivers  most important is BIOS is up to date, download and install

reason I didn't give you direct link is to many series of the model  or best let HP find your system

other can be damaged mechanical HDD from dropping unit  or SSD needs firmware updated or loose/dirty RAM......use a pencil eraser on ram contacts to clean them
