 Hello Bob & Bob meet another Bob  and I have been to Crew Crown court many years ago.. I was a witness before you ask  @RobMc  a bunch of travellers stole a caravan and in the ongoing police chase decided to cut through my garden while towing a caravan.. demolished my shed and conservatory  then tried to cut through my house to escape and came across my 3 little doggies  the police caught them as they left in a hurry out the back.

But Crew was a lot better than coventry

We should have a competition, the worst five places in the UK my five are, in descending order :-

Birkenhead North, Middlesborough, Southwark (London), Cheetham hill (Manchester) and Govanhill (Glasgow)

been to most places in uk and these stood out for me

Birkenhead north when I was there had armoured shops ( note armoured, I don't mean shutters), gangs running round streets and they had even stripped the tiles off their own houses and sold them

Middlesborough, especially areas like Grangetown are truly shocking, mad max does not come near

Southwark, had to think long and hard as there are many bad London areas but you do not feel safe there even during the day

Cheetham Hill, I was going to say Moss side the first place in uk to have permanently armed police, but Cheetham is the only place I have been, other than Baltimore, where a gun was fired in daylight on a street.

Govanhill, it's like a zombie server for real

note nowhere in Wales or Northern Ireland currently quite as bad, but only since the troubles died down

Brierley Hill.. If its not nailed down they will pinch it, Shag it, Stab it or try to smoke it. Of all the places I have lived or worked its one of the worst and not safe for anyone not born there.

Cumbernauld... Small town compared to Glasgow but major chip on there shoulder think they are all gangsters and most carry Razors and will greet you with the phrase Fuck off or ill Chib ya . and if your English will do it anyway they really hate us 

Coventry... Although I live here its getting worse everyday the little Darlings are stabbing and shooting each other and there are now 3 or 4 areas that I will not go after dark. In fact there are 2 areas where BT and Virgin will not let there engineers go after dark.

Stoke On Trent .. My step brother was working there and got Mugged in broad daylight and while it happened people just carried on walking by like nothing was happening he had to crawl into a shop to Get help.

Paisley The Shotgun Capital of Scotland. Need i say anymore.

 

Having said all that no matter where you go in the British Isles every town and city have good areas and bad areas and it pays to do research before going there

Hmmm interesting you found that too ? it had never hit me living as close to Scotland as I do, but I worked on the west coast for two years around the time of the independence vote and it got really nasty at times at work. They had stickers on their cars proclaiming their hatred of the English, it was a shock to them all when the vote went the other way, but as usual it was a minority of people, most were great and are still my friends to this day.  On the other foot I worked on the South Coast and the Southerners really hated the Scots, I can never understand what makes people like this ? it will never change. We go from hating neighbours, to hating the next village, to hating other counties, to hating other countries and for what? us humans will wipe each other out, ok back to killing on the servers lol.

I agree with you 100% .. but I lived in Kirkintilloch for 11yrs which is about 5 miles outside Glasgow and never had a problem My ex wife and 2 Daughters still live there. its the smaller towns that seem to have a problem with the English.

I worked for 3 yrs in Glasgow town centre as a Bouncer in the night clubs and never had a problem apart from usual drunks (95% of population ) 

Its just a shame people can not forget the past and live together ..
