Drones

Sooo, I just ordered my first drone and I'm completely stoked about it.  Is anyone else into them?  I've flown some 3d Helicopters, and a few low end drones but I'm really looking forward to my new toy   Here is what I just ordered DJI FPV Drone Combo with Remote Controller and Goggles CP.FP.00000001.01 - Best Buy

I shoot them out of the sky !!!!!  I use to fly RC Airplanes and at that time.  In the late 1990's.  Shit was hard to fly back then.  Just like flying an actual plane or helicopter.   I spent more time on repairs then flying !!!   Now the "gyro's" keep it stable.  A child can fly them.   Stay away from wooded areas !!  Easy to loose radio signal and next thing you know, your $1,000 drone is a squirrel toy.

I have a DJI Mavic but don't fly all that often.  I need to get my Part 107 so I can use it commercially with my photography business

Haha, that is something my dad would have said a few years ago.  Now, he is the reason I'm buying one.   He flies a Mavic 2.   I've been Flying a S3 nano blade helicopter.  It's wicked, was super hard to learn.  I can't even fly it in pro mode.  His is solid, stays put, moves slow.  I wanted something in between.

They are amazing machines.  I don't know enough about the laws, but I don't think I'll have any issues in my area.

My younger brother and his business partner own this company in Canada. They have stores and warehouses in 3 Canadian provinces and a large mail order clientele. They’ve made a living out of playing with the toys they love!

He can do some amazing things with these drones. Needless to say I’ve watched some awesome videos. 
I can’t even drive one of their RC cars.

I really enjoy to fly for fun and work

our office has 
 DJI Mavic Pro with Thermal
Dji  matrice 300 with thermal (the big money)
dji phantom 4 pro  (the tank)

I have a dji phantom 3pro (my tank)

only tried the Goggles once but was fun.

Very nice looking Kit,  i think you will need one more battery.

I have the goggles and tried them one time.

It's a very different feeling flying when using them and you really MUST have a spotter!

I feel very unsure about them because of the things you cannot see.

I have not used them since and will likely unload them.

Ooohh, sweeeet!  I ordered the fly more kit.  That was another $300 for a total of 3 batteries.  It should be here tomorrow

I had a decently equipped but cheapish? $70 FPV drone that I got for Christmas from my brother. But it is still in the top of a 100+foot tree where a gust of wind put it 4 years ago. I can still see the damn thing through the scope on the old 243. It's not coming down any time soon. It's all tangled up in small branches and resting rite in the crotch of 3 bigger upright branches.  

 

This is the one that I "had" but mine was white and did not have the replaceable battery pack option.
