Flight 93 went down just 12 miles from us. Every available fire and ambulance company in our area went up the mountain to assist but there was nothing they could do. The Boeing 757 hit the ground upside down at an estimated speed of 580 mph (which indicates a full power vertical dive because the 757 has a max cruising speed of 531 mph) and broke up into thousands of small pieces and immediately caught fire. The only thing that was recognizable after the fire was eventually extinguished was the tail section and a couple small pieces of the fuselage.

I lived in VA near DC ...  that day changed our lives forever.  Like FDR said after Pearl Harbor, a day that will live in infamy...  HELL OF A THING.  May humans find their way out of the war-like beings we are. and evolve to be wiser, better, kinder, smarter.

Although I was not a member of my fire company at the time, many of my great friends at the department were.

My crews rotated every 24 hours for a week at the Pentagon starting on 9/11.

All the conspiracy theorists that say a plane did not hit the Pentagon are absolutely clueless.

I lost an assistant soccer coach on Flight 77 that went into the Pentagon.

My guys still talk about the plane parts and intense smell of jet fuel permeating the air.

Our house is 12 miles due east just down from the peek of the mountain above the smoke plume.  The video was taken from rite at 8 miles away not 15 like he said.  Our Weather comes W/NW down the mountain. The almost sweet smell of A-1 jet fuel burning off and wood smoke lingered in the valley and orchards below us for days.  

That's the Buffalo farm just below him to the left that I occasionally buy Buffalo jerky from. lol  Buffalo jerky is good shit.

Thank you, TBB, for posting this. 
Unfortunately, in recent years, especially here in Europe, interest in this terrible terrorist attack has waned.
When it is discussed, it is not uncommon to hear conspiracy theories. 
The attached images take me back to September 11, 2001, and still affect me deeply today. I still remember well the grief, anger, and fear
about what was yet to come.
The nearly 3,000 victims remind us to remain vigilant.
Evil never sleeps!

In light of recent events,
on October 9, 2025, well-known Trump supporter Charlie Kirk was murdered in Orem, Utah.
Charlie Kirk spoke up. He sought discourse. He wanted to engage with those who thought differently.
He listened to other opinions and argued against them. He talked to those who hated him, deliberately, in order to build bridges.
For this, he was murdered.
Because he spoke out. Because he had his own opinion, which some people did not like. I am stunned.
Be vigilant, evil never sleeps.

From last evening. That's the light from the Flight 93 memorial. Had to take the 4 wheeler up in the orchard above the house to get a pic because my phone is a POS. It kept focusing in on other lights in our small town without a bit of light shining behind it.

I can see it from by bedroom window every year when they turn it on.
