The !like and !dislike exist on COD4. I have always played on the basis that there are maps I like and maps I dislike. I then vote accordingly. I also appreciate that the maps I really dislike I just spec or quit out and come back later. I don't think map skipping is good as there are obviously maps that I really enjoy. The same map skipped twice in one day. When Admins skip a map they then don't allow others to play a map that they enjoy. Equally it would be fair to say that map enjoyment can be based on who is on your team. The skill of people on that team. The skill of people on the opposing team. If your winning your less likely to want a map skip - equally if your losing you may want a map skip. If you have never played a certain map a lot you may find it difficult and confusing. I suggest you keep up and try it out. I have a love of maps that allow sniping. I know others hate maps that have such easy routes to sniping. I'm not good at running around with an auto trying to kill. Yet for the sake of anothers enjoyment give it a go. Sometimes even surprise myself. Map voting will allow people to stop maps from coming back. Map skipping will potentially ruin others enjoyment of that rotation. I firmly believe and suggest that we should use the current system of voting to deal with map likes and dislikes rather than skipping. That is what it is there for. Else it leaves us to look at player lists and decide to only play when there is no admin on the server. Then we can have an unobstructed playing of a rotation with no fear of missing out on maps. I heard the excuse from an Admin that the reason for only one vote for skip and then play the next is because "People wouldn't play any maps" - Easily solved by the voting system already in place. I would hope the rotations are designed to look at the different possible playing styles. So maps for sniping, running around etc. In the many years I have been playing on this server I think its well over the 6 I have medals for I don't remember all this map skipping. Is it a relatively new rule/allowance? I would hope players would use different maps to learn new skills and enjoy different playing styles as certain maps demand rather than give up and call a vote.

Absolutely right, unfortunately buddy this is a regular argument 1/. Yes seen this a couple of times where the admin changes without a vote, or worse you count the votes too and it goes the other way. What can also be confusing can be the way they call the vote, some say do you want to play the map or do you want to skip, Yes then has two effects. Please type 'Do you want to play this map, yes or no' 2/. Spot on, we have some fantastic larger maps that we hardly ever see because of the run and gunners 3/. Map skipping stopped but apparently is reappearing, needs nipping in the bud now, what is worse is that many times members want to play and are voted off their own servers, that is ludicrous. 4/. Dream on, if they don't get their own way the dummy comes out the pram

Hey Guys First of I am of indigenous heritage, my mother is a survivor of the residential school system. Though I lost her to cancer at a young age she was able to share with me a few of her experiences. Its difficult to share those stories for no one wants to think that their loved one having to endure such pain. I wont mention these stories here but if you wish to learn of a few, please PM me. This is a part of history and a part of our fabric as a nation, dark as it may seem. Thousands of children died in residential schools and their bodies rarely returned home. Many were buried in neglected graves. Canada's residential school system forcibly took children from their families and placed them in institutions rife with physical, mental and sexual abuse. These were children, trusting little spirits who believed in their hearts that it would all work out and in the end tragically it did not. What makes me proud is how our schools today are treating this subject. I grew up learning of pioneers and settlers who endured their own hardships and earned their rightful places in our history. What is wrong with the world now by insisting everyone with a label (usually invented by them) is not part of the society of that country?
