Some people were complaining about my ping and lag, and I thought why not just move to the States to fix it, so here I am! But yeah, I am here for work. I usually just say I work in education since I have a few different roles. I came to the U.S. as a visiting scholar last year, and I’ll be leaving soon. Back in Türkiye, I have two jobs. I work full-time at a university, and tutor K-12 students in reading and literature in the evenings. I’ve had more flexible work hours here, which gave me more time to travel. I’ve been to North Carolina, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas so far. New York will probably be my next destination. I may visit some other cities as well, and I’m open to any suggestions you might have before I leave.

Who woulda thought that like 20 years ago near I would hop into a server and stick around this long? It has been an amazing time with you all, but like all things, some things find a finish. I am going to be stepping away from gaming for a while, maybe forever, who knows. I just feel the push and pull of other aspects of life knocking. I will always cherish my time here as an XI member. Have made some life long friendships that will continue no matter where in life I end up. There seems to be an uptick in players accusing others of cheating or hacking and this needs to stop. This behavior only influences others to join in and becomes disruptive to the entire server and for all those playing, not just the accused. XI does not have many rules but this is one of those, these constant accusations of cheating/hacking are a form of harassment. This behavior towards players is not acceptable and can lead to a ban. If you suspect another player of cheating, then get an admins attention if available or it is recommended to take video and send it to an admin.

Something else I'm working on. Anyone have any unique places or ideas in mind?

Hi all we are having another Uk meetup at Welwyn Garden City on May 22nd We will be meeting up at The Doctors Tonic pub in the centre at around 5pm but will be there for most of the night, Some are staying at the travel lodge, some at the premier inn and others are just popping over and returning home again. I've been working at it. Found the hard limits pretty fast. I had to rebuild using much larger pieces. I think I could add 2 maybe 3 buildings in a realistic map.
