Widowmaker the cost depends on what you are willing to spend! Do a little home work and compare tiger and neweggfor the parts and then ask for advice like your doing here!

research research research, there is no universal answer for a custom pc, you build what you like and can afford. ofcourse price shopping and reading reviews and such always helps, youtube linustechtips on you tube and look fo the parts and review on there. a monster pc will run around 2500 up, a good one 1500-2500 and a okay one that will need up grading more often will be around 600-1000. if your crunched on cash i would reccomend amd, if not then take your pick between intel, one piece of advice, try to spend about equal cash on your cpu and gpu, because if you get a great cpu and a okay gpu, you will have a big bottleneck in performance, aswell as the other way around. do as much research as you can, look out for deals, and one other thing, get it at once, this way you can tell if you need to rma anything, also its better that way because then you dont get a part and then see that the price dropped a month later and it will take forever if you return a product to save a bit of money. tech always changes, so save up, in the mean time do some serious reseach and i mean a lot, computers arnt cheap, so price vs performace is everything. as for the mouse i personally dont like it, but thats me, just one thing to point out is you asked is there a better one? do your research before purchasing, then you will know the answer, if the mouse fits you, and you like it thats all that matters. i personally use a logitech g500 that i have had for a year and i have no problems at all, razer is also a great company. if you would like to have help researching parts and products give me a pm and ill be glad to help. but like i said if your sinking money into something research it, you wouldnt go out and buy a car on a whim later to find out that its got a failing gas pedal would you? then learn you cant return it after you found this out? lost money equals a very unhappy idiot. just my 2 cents

It's pretty tough to gauge how "good" a mouse is. (Except me, I'm pretty damn awesome. lmao.. if only)

It really depends on personal preference. If it's a mouse that you can use comfortably and it does exactly what you expect it to ingame, it's a good mouse, whether it's a Microsoft OEM optical mouse or an alien-looking thing like that R.A.T 7. As far as specs go, it's a quality piece of gear. Never used one myself, so all I can say is that it looks pretty scary. lol

And for building prices, these guys have it right. :)

widowmaker , I did a lot of resaerch on that mouse as I was just looking for a change , But decided against it , From what they said if your a person who lifts a mouse, the laser looses it tracking ,  It's also a bit heavy but I like , I decided to stay with my G9 which now has been replaced by a G9X, I like to have differnt profiles that auto switch , say from gaming to just general use, As I set the mouse different for each, It also depends if you how you hold the mouse , palm or finger tips, The cybourg is a palm style mouse..

Widow,

You can grab parts to build a good PC for $1200-$1500.

iFuerza speak the truth with his bottlenecking stories and shyte.

AMD is phasing out their 1090T and 1100T 6 cores PHENOM II to make room for the Zambezi 8cores (codenamed BULLDOZER) There will be a lot of deals on AMD (if you're strapped for cash BAD). They're equivalent to the Intel's last generation Q9550 and Q9650...

If you fork only a little more, the Intel Sandy bridge 2500K is where it's at price/performance. Of course, the 2600K is a little better for encoding, but for gaming, the 2500K is more than fine! and you can put the $100 difference on more graphics power, a 64GB SSD boot drive, or a kick-ass aftermarket cooler to Overclock your new CPU...

if it was me I would start with what graphics card I wanted to run then Intel or AMD processor, depending on processor what motherboard.

Work on getting a fast hard drive weather you use a combo of SSD and machanical or not then memory and get a good qualtity power supply like a Corsair or OCZ wrap it up in a good case that flows good air ( some of the more expensive cases suck)

I run cooler Master cases, good cases good flow and they don't gouge you on price. I would not buy a case with power supply already installed, in most they are garbage.

PS I use Logitech for keyboards and mice... I think they are the best!!!

I've got a RAT 7 I like it cause I made it fit my palm and I adjusted the length and width of this mouse.I have a Razer also but seemed to small in my hands. For me this is much better cause it can be adjusted in so many ways.

I like the rat great idea. A mouse starts being good when it fits your hand find that and then move up the ladder. My idea for a gaming computer via the cost anything after about a thousand bucks you can start doubling you cost per part for a little more speed. So if you decide to go over lets say 1200.00 bucks don't cheap out on your self go straight to the good stuff and spend about 2500.00 bucks. Everything in the middle and you will find yourself swapping out parts because this one was a better then the one you got symdrome. Remember an average PC with a great video card will put you in the top 5% of gamers.

I've got the RAT 7. I like the heavy feel and the weight is ajustable. The one bad point I found is the thumb buttons don't jive with my thumb so I have to find a new thumb.

It's totaly  adjustable so you can adjust it to fit your hand. On my old mouse my hand would creep backwards off the mouse making it hard to press the buttons. On th e RAT I put on the bigger plates and no more creeping.

I lied, there is a sharp edge on the replacement pinkie plate that rubs my finger a little. Good mouse overall and for $75 hard to beat.

As a note I've had 6 mouses so have a fairly good idea as to what I want.

Actually Apple's new 1 button bluetooth mouse is quite good with gesture support and multiple settings, you can even 'right click' if you want to.
