Betties operate exactly the same as in mw3 and are also balanced the same in terms of damage, range, trigger time etc. If they trip then quickly go to prone. Depending on how quick you are it may not prevent all damage but will limit the amount done. But... before anyone says that doesnt work keep in mind that health on this server is set at 30 not 100.

i know i dont say it sammy but i do appreciate ur hard work on tryn to better the mod mab final version of this will work better on chicago then on ny server my ping is higher on ny one ..same way on the mod version that chicago is now i ve always p[layed better on chicago vs ny on the mod now on chicago when it was on both

Yes I know what you mean about the wall. Uses literally the same radius damage method as the mw3 betty does. I didnt take any short cuts. :lol:

 

I suppose that is one of the better things about using an upgraded but old game engine instead of making a new one or licensing something more advanced. You know things will work the way they did before.

Who has been pleased with the auto balance?? I don't know one person that said they like how it is yet it hasnt been changed and the statement is that other servers may be set up differently? Ya, the chicago server was and everyone liked that auto balance set up.

Can we stop with all the 'lets wait for people to decided' and 'they can change it' garbage and just freaking fix the issues that have been brought forth many times...over 13 pages of people leaving comments and little to no changes seen.

 

I love the autobalance! BEST FEATURE EVER!

 

Several changes have happened and it's great that everyone is leaving their feedback, opinions are cheap though.

Cant please everybody. :hrhr:

 

Thought I read in another post that several servers were having problems yesterday and that it was likely a provider problem. RC health can easily be bumped up in the server configs. So its up to whoever controls the settings to change it and find a number that balances nicely with the gameplay. Then again, you are shooting a C4 pack with wheels. Not a tank.

 

Edit: health is the same thing. I have said multiple times already that if the consensus among all the admins and players is that its too easy to kill then increase health from 30 to 40.

So its a C4 packed car...yet it cant be blown up on the beta server as previously pointed out a few post prior. Again, nothing has been changed.

 

I think it is time to start considering the people that post the issues here to be the consensus...what are we waiting for?? If they dont post any issues they clearly do not care enough either way.

 

And why does a 'BETA' server have a 'TEST' server??? Whats the point of a 'BETA' server if in fact that is not the test server??

I don't remember if someone already report that but yesterday I was autobalanced during the last round (4-4). We were in the middle of the round, 3 players alive in my team against 6 in the other, pretty unfair cause no respawn on the last round... lol

Ehm, having trouble with the eavesdrop perk not jamming the car multiple times.

EMP grenades seem to have a hard time taking out the car.

 

Other than that, great MOD. Really made me fall back in love with your servers. The Chigago server had some hit registration problems for me, this server seems to be great sofar. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into creating and releasing these MOD's. It's the people like you that keep COD4 ever interesting!

Issues downloading the map mp_hob; getting stuck at 14 kb/s. I tried quitting the game, tried rebooting the computer. Cant seem to find an externall download..

I hardly ever get a chance to actually play the mod anymore. Not against real people anyways. But last evening was cool even with the jammer bug. Did make for an interesting game however with no minimap. Default range of EMP is 256 units. But it can be raised up to 512. I did see the ac130 and it seemed to work ok on the map that had it. Not sure if I saw any kills but the rounds hit. If there are any suspect maps let me know what they are to see if they have unusually small map boundaries.

That happened to me also, it autobalanced at the beginning of sudden death and so I couldn't play the death round.. I was like wth??

I like both servers and will play wherever people are but mainly prefer the chicago server because my ping is better. The only things

that bug me in beta is the car jammer and the mini map disappearing forever. As far as weapons and all that stuff go I really don't pay

any attention, I'm too busy thawing %29.gif It's all good but I'd like to see us keep both servers if possible because they're both fun.

I would love to know what map it works correctly on, because it has been completely changed from the chicago server for whatever reason...It will fly around but it is impossible to hit anything, another useless perk it seems.

 

another reason the autobalance is the greatest idea ever...team down 1-10 and our last player gets auto'd to the other team, lost round/game...again GREATEST IDEA EVER

Is it possible to fix some stuff on the mp_dustcod4 map on the beta_server? This is a tiny (shitty) map, just a few paths, no way to run, no place to hide and Artillery/Heli and others are allowed... LOL

Game is totally ruined by the killstreaks. Thanks :-)

But in all seriousness if a map is terrible with artillery/overwatch then its going to suck with airstrikes and heli's also. Imagine this mod if it didnt have a 3-streak loadout limit.

There are some maps on the beta server where we can't used Heli, there is a restriction. Can this map (and maybe others smaller maps) be configured to have the same restriction with some killstreaks?

Some maps wont work with heli's because the mapper did not put in all the requirements for full heli support. Typically they lack some needed nodes such as arrival and destination locations. Or crash locations. Maybe evasion nodes. If a heli is above a small map it is not going to go very far and that much easier to shoot down with an rpg. It would be a good idea for one person on your team to get a SAM for defense. Put it in the right place and it's a turkey shoot. Maybe one or two people with an RPD and the armor piercing perk. Ignores all vehicle armor.

Mmmhhh ok, understood. So an admin could get out the small maps, the ones with just one way to walk, could be great.

Imho I wouldnt remove the map nor any streaks. Unless the map itself is buggy or takes way too long to play for ftag. A few maps on the server are certainly better suited to s&d. Sometimes wondered if it were possible to make a good cross between ftag and s&d or sabotage. Or maybe ctf. Not sure how the gameplay would work in practice but it would cut down the hide and seek aspects on big maps that take forever. Would also force players to work together to do more than simply unfreeze. Ftag has been missing alternate gametypes and not just a variation on tdm.

 

My 2 cents worth in a day and age when 2 cents isnt worth much. :w00t:

So, the terrible mod has now been placed on the Chicago server with no corrections made? Therefore, now there are no servers that can be played without issue. What was the point? The past 14 pages have been useless writing it seems as the vast majority of the issues still exists. Thus, a 'BETA' is no longer/nor ever was truely a 'BETA'
