On the next update, is the crossbow going back to 10 regular shots? That's really the only thing I don't like on the mod.

yea dont mind the betties as long as their not as strong they kill you thru brick walls and have too long of a range...ive been as far away as 30 or 40 yrds and they still will kill you

i say leave the crossbows out!!!! exploding ones ok..we got enough one shot kill weapons dont need anymore

Max range for the betty is 256 game units. Same as it is in mw3 and twice the height of a cod4 doorway. At that distance in SC its not enough to kill you even if you catch the full blast. But in hard core and 30 health it most certainly is. If you hear a betty pop up go quick prone. It will still damage you but might not be enough to kill.

 

At 30 health in hardcore everything is potentially a one shot one kill weapon even if its not a head shot. I sniped someone last night with one m21 shot from a great distance.... on his foot. An old issue with this game and nothing wrong with the crossbow, other than its acts more like a sniper rifle than a grenade launcher. :w00t:

yea but it shouldnt kill you round walls in oppostie rooms tho.when ur not in blast path..especially brick ones...far as crossbow was just saying that we got enough of one shot kill weapons why add more...just saying...your doing nice job on these mw2 ftag mods they are going to be the best thing out there when all the bugs are workd out cant wait...i know it must be frustrating and aggrevating to work on these things...keep up the good work bud

Game geometry will protect you from Betties.

For this test I disabled FF and the LOS checks needed for tripping the mine. If you are close enough it pops up and explodes.

 

edit: I mean I *enabled* friendly fire. So in the test I could trip my own betties.

So, if we are putting up a new version soon can we make sure we include enough arabian bones in it? Ruthless keeps stealing the bones and it makes the maps freak out.

 

Seriously though, it does seem to be happening more often now and usually when someone uses a killstreak perk of some sort. Last night it happened when one of the last two people brought out an RC-car during overtime.

Its ACR related. So dont choose that one in the loadout. Yes it should be addressed.

I disagree with you Cobra. More people want the crossbow back to normal then those who don't. I think if you don't like learn to shoot the people with it then. Or learn to use it yourself.

This is not a response to me is it? If so, then we need to make it so no one can choose the ACR. I never use it but certainly get kicked because of arab bones 1-2 times a night.

hey sammy and rugger,

please give back the m249 saw as it is my primary weapon i use (there is no reason why we can't have it when you added that aug. just have an additional weapon) as for the new beta it seems to run smooth with few errors so far, but time will tell more. so with an exception (the 249) the site seems to be good overall. please give back my beloved saw.

Hehe. Everyone has a fav weapon. In that class mine is RPD. But unfortunately one of the three had to go. No more room for additional guns just replacements. Which is why it doesnt have both the Betty and Clay. After several discussions it was decided that the RPD/SAW more or less fill the same role and the goal is to have three lmgs that are relatively unique to each other.

 

I didnt know the new one was online yet. I will have to pop in this evening and get some play time. There is another update coming in a few days. Improved assets for a couple custom weapons and I will tweak the Crossbow damage and see what people think.

Forgot to add... many of the air streaks got tweaked in one way or another and the tac nuke is 20. Let me know how they work. Also, Sudden Death rounds should be determined by however many players are still alive not how many are frozen. An equal number of living players is a tie game. This will hopefully help with the problem of frozen players leaving before its over. Not exactly perfect either but should be a better measure of who wins and loses. :welcome:

The updated nuke in the new one should be 20 not 25. Is it still 25? It has to be balanced for normal tdm & dm games and any lower than that, especially if its game ending, might make it too aggravating.

Personally, I think the crossbow is fine the way it.

 

Checked the damage to make sure it was in line with sniper rifle damage. It was a little high. So for the next update in SC games for example its not going to kill in one shot unless a head shot. However, and I keep trying to stress this, it will still by default be a one-shot-one-kill weapon on a HC server.

ok i like being able to jam r/c car but it should be like 10 sec jam just enuff for u to get way or shoot it that way u can kill it . that way people control cars don't have to sit and wait 10 , 20 ,30 seconds.

i also think u shouldnt be able to jam clay/bb they r mechanical not something that can be jam. or at least do like i mention with r/c car jammer will only work past 2 clays/bb it come across third boom ,or time like you got 6 second run past clay if u decide to stay near it well u know :) or like running threw building made it past 1 by the door made it half way upstairs jammer runs out boom , but if run past door take 3 secs it will recharge then run up stairs you would make it past it.

My guess is the NY server wont be changed until the new mod in Chicago has had enough traffic and testing to make sure there are no issues, if that is what you mean. So far there hasnt been much traffic but a few times it was up to 6 or 7 players. Which is always appreciated.

 

Currently there are one or two RC related bugs and will be fixing that today and sending the updated FF to Rugger. The nuke on that one is 20 kills. As for the care package nuke, if it were up to me I wouldnt remove it but that is a server decision among the clan members. It is always good to have uncertainties and possibilities out of left field on the battlefield. :hrhr:

 

Just popped onto that server and it looks like you can freelook and also follow players. Maybe that got changed last night.

scoring on the Chicago server doesn't seem to be working correctly

 

I have 22 kills, 21 defrosts, and only 490 points.....compared to the other people on the team, that just aint right.

just finished teh map with 43 kills and 38 defrost.....only 2000 points total......

 

it doesnt appear everyones scores were affected.
