How do you get the >XI< tags in player names? Cant seem to get the >< characters when creating a profile. The system does work as it should testing locally and kicks to make room for me in a maxed out server but my profile name doesnt have any special characters.

 

edit: As for who to kick, its a weighted score of clan membership, playing time, and player score. Not random. Admins need to have their guid's added to the server configs to have top priority but they havent been added yet it seems.

Been checking out weapon balances and after going through the numbers all but one custom weapon closely matches the ones they replaced. But scarh might need a minor tweak for sway. The one weapon... yes... is steyr. I think currently it is acting like a full-auto G3. Just a bit unbalanced. Not sure what to do with it yet since there are a couple options to pursue. So enjoy it while you've you've got it. :w00t:

I have been auto balanced in the middle of a round 3 times and have concluded that it is the dumbest thing in the history of this game to set it up that way

Auto-balanced is not the problem, problem is that happens several times in the same round and when you've a good score this is really boring... :ouch:

hope ur not suggesting takn way the aug we would probably lose alot of players on here just keep that in mind.. the aug is much better weapon than the g3 by far..also we cant kill the car still

It's staying in the game. One of my fav weapons actually. But will be rebalanced so it's not like a G3 on a scroll wheel.

have anyone else experienced to get frozen a different place then you got killed?

happend to me on a few occations. I get killed and suddenly frozen a completely different place.

 

this happend on a few maps, but cant remember the names.

 

When you blow up a person with your RC or drop a bomb, does that count as a kill in your killstreak? Looks like im getting a lot of streaks but no award for them....

 

I also get kicked alot of the server upon new map loading, some sort of .exe error and my games shuts down. Any ideas?

The problem of the frozen : I had it at the beginning of the mod (few months ago). When i was frozen a second time, my bubble appeared on the first place i was frozen before. I thought this problem was gone with the new version..

 

For the killstreak, it doesn't count if you kill someone with a device. Pretty cool stuff, cause if not it will be too easy to got the nuke... Heli or artillery are really powerful and can kill 7-8 people easy.

i think he will put the rate of fire down. so the amount of bullets that come out of your barrel will be lesser than before.

thats because everyone (or almost everyone) now knows, if you use the perk "eavesdrop" that you cant be hit by a car. it will get jammed.

Yes currently eavesdrop will jam the car until he moves away from you. Seems its a love/hate thing. Testing range is 256 unit default radius but its a little too big I think.

 

For steyr, the most obvious is that it lacks sway. But also the kick is a little too low. Since the G3 stats are balanced for single-shot this needs to be tweaked. ROF looks fine to me.

 

Streak kills are not supposed to count towards streaks. The decoy one is a bug, thx.

 

The frozen location thing shouldnt happen on the beta. I built in extra reduncancies to ensure that but all I can think of is a peculiarity with the map. If you remember the names, and where you were frozen both times, msg me.

 

Getting stuck after using the RC - for now if you have anything above your head make sure you can stand. Otherwise you might respawn in a structure. In the future you will get a warning message tell you to move away from the obstruction.

Why would we want this to be able to jam it at all regardless of distance? I tend to use my car in "oh crap" scenarios to thaw and many times it changes a loss into a win. My biggest problem is that I have to get three kills to get a car when a general perk can completely elminate that. (Twice today it has prevented me from thawing just because someone knows the perk jams the car and just stands near me.)

 

What other killstreaks will be allowed to be cancelled out by perk selection in the future? Will things like stealth prevent someone from getting shot by a heli or airstrike? I'm actually not being sarcastic here because if we are going to allow perks to cancel killstreaks let's not just stop at the car so there is more balance.

moonpie makes some good points... today my rc car got jammed almost every time I used it so it doesn't do much good to use that perk the way it is. But the main problem I'm having is "Glow" keeps coming on in my graphic settings and although I keep changing it to glow NO it just stays on and I can't get it to stay off. Is that the mod or my game? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks for your help.

LOL didnt think about that for the car and enemies standing there. But that is the whole point of a jammer. If that happens you know exactly where he is even if hidden. Especially if he doesnt move. Tell your teammates and he is a sitting duck for a nade. However, experimented with having the jammer deflect you to one side not freeze you. So the car can still be driven around and triggered. For an anti-jammer, considered the possibility of adding protection against cuav to tacmask in addition to emp/flash/gas and call it something else. "Hardened" maybe... same name as the streak one but actually means something. Could also add an RC anti-jammer to that. Stealth protects you from all AI that can target you. Heli's, sentries etc.

 

As for glow, that is the mod and the thermal used for snipers + streak weapons. But values are also reset to their defaults on player spawn. Glow is on by default. Will see if I can do it another way without upsetting the current glow value.

Most up to date of the mod running 16 slot TDM. Hopefully things are adjusted to promote reasonably faster gameplay to push things along to spot problems quickly and fix them. Plz post any thoughts. And yes for those who have been itching to try it the tac nuke it is 15 kills. :w00t:
