I know the suggestion has already been made but the 25killstreak super nuke needs to be reduced...I don't know that anyone has ever gotten 25 killstreak before, my best ever is 18. I think something like 15 or 17 would be a more realistic setting. Does anyone else have thoughts on this>?

 

 

I'd personally like to see it once to see what it does!

i think the crossbow is way too acurate its a rediculous shot and its one shot kill no matter where it hits think this should be lessened

Could always hard code it to my guid so it gives me a nuke every time I spawn. Then I can show it to you as much as you wish. :w00t:

 

But in all seriousness, it was kept at 25 because of its power as a general loadout option. Especially in objective games because its always an automatic win for that round. But there is enough of a small chance to get it in a package drop to make it worthwhile.

I guess that is why I see two starkly different opinions on this matter for the 10x crossbow or the 2x explosive bolts. I agree the 10x one is pretty powerful and I tend to use it alot on mid-sized maps with lots of open views. No gravity, an instant hit and can go pretty far. Both have been set to match how it is in Black Ops and in this case its also meant to be somewhat of an Overkill-like option that does not allow explosives or affect the class system. Rugger can drop the 10x to a smaller number if desired. Also max damage.

 

Just a note. In HC games the stock crossbow is supposed to always kill on impact. After that the nade might do more.

I like the new mod, however, my only compliant, like many others, is the crossbow. Personally, the crossbow was the only reason I started playing the MW2 mod anyway. I really hate seeing it go from ten regular shots to only two explosive shoots. Other than that, the new mod is really good! Thanks to Sammy and Rugger for all the hard work on it. Hopefully someone can figure out something about the crossbow because I don't think many people enjoy the new one. My input. :)

I understand that it ends the round but 25 killstreak? I have MAYBE seen that one time in the years I've played this game...I think that is absolutely unreasonable to expect people to get that. On the Chicago mod, the nuke is a POS...I was the last guy, used the nuke this morning and it did nothing but looked pretty. In the old days, a year or two ago, you'd get a nuke and it would end a round...My opinion is that is how it should be if you get 15 kills.

 

What are everyone else's thoughts about that? I just think 25 is way too high Sammy. However, I'll obviously go with anything you decide.

Hmmm.... tell you what I will do. For testing purposes I will lower it to 15 in the next update which should be online soon. Discovered a couple issues with the nuke under some unusual circumstances causing problems. Looks to be ok now but needs some more 'end of game' testing to make sure the right team wins and it isnt a draw. But for general release it will remain at 25.

Put it on 15 for testing is a good idea but for general release maybe you could put it in the middle : 20 kills... ;):coffee:

25...hmmmmmmmmm....no one can kill 25...with the only gunfire...because they do not add up..helicopter kill..or artillery kill...etc.. 25 killed only gunfire..is impossible !!! On the old server..MW2 v1.3 was set 17.. but 17..collected all kills...(gunfire+arty+heli ect)...just so I could..5 times nuke..

Yep! 25 kills with only gunfire is impossible... Except for big big campers... Maybe I could do it... ahahah

I agree 15 is too low especially for big TDM-style servers or FFA... which still needs FFA testing... and that 20 might be more reasonable. But it's going to be at 15 for little while so everybody else can get it and burn Flush to a crisp many times over. Have fun. :welcome:

 

To deal with campers the best way is to enable the anti-camping functions. Affects all non-sniper classes. Not perfect but it helps somewhat. Can change the timer and the distance required to move if you are caught doing it to re-enable your weapons.

I do agree that 20 or 25 are more doable if kills are collected from all sources (guns, killstreaks added, etc.). Maybe that's something to consider but personally I think that is easier to get than 15 with gunkills only!

the good thing about the new mod is that you don't need to fire a whole clip in a guy/girl. some maps are still shaky, yesterday we had a weapon arror. thank god there was and admin there to change the map.

 

but when its full of people i prefer that server instead of the chicago one.

Yes plz tell me the map name so I can check it out. If the error says something about a missing model in weapon index something or other then its a conflict between the map and the mod. Depending on the map it might be fixable with a small patch file for the map.

I already said that but... We can directly launch a tube at the start of the round. OK tubing is part of the game but DAMN, it should be not allowed to launch a tube directly on the enemy spawn at start... Can you do something Sammy? 5 seconds before tubing/spam nade or something like that? Thanks a lot

 

And we got another strange stuff at start too. On dust_map, we were at start, running in the first seconds of invisibility and be killed by bullets (cause map is like that, there is a little corridor where we can shot). But is it normal? :question: we were with spawn protection...

For next update chinalake added to explosives delay. For Dust or any other map, if you just run and dont cancel spawn protection then you should be fine. I didnt make any changes from OW in how that works.

Sammy is almost done with the next release and that will be put on the chicago server, the crossbow will go back to the regular style with non explosive arrows and you will have 10 of them.

 

Exe I will the be able to shoot tubes at the beginning of the map

Is there a forum post somewhere that only has what the updates will be next time? Its too hard to read through all the pages to see if things have been brought up before

 

I would like to see:

-Teammates Frozen Icon removed...(no need for both a teammates alive and teammates down icon)

- Bring back the health bar

- 15 kills on the nuke, gun fire only
