WE HAVE DISCUSSED THIS MANY TIMES AND I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THAT WAY BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM. MOST OF US KNOW THE SHOTTIE SET-UP ON OUR WEAPONS MOD MAKES THEN SUCK. SECOND ALL PEOPLE HERE DURING A SHOTTIES GAME IS A FEW PLAYERS YELLING AT THE 2 OR 3 GUYS USING A MACHINE GUN. SO WE HEAR WHAT SOUNDS TO THE NEWBIE AS A SERVER FULL OF WHINNERS OR JUST ALOT OF BITCHING AT PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. AND HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE IT'S CAUSE'S PLAYERS TO CALL OTHERS ASSHOLES. I DON'T PLAY "SHOTTIES ONLY" AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME JUST BECAUSE 5 OR 6 LOUD PLAYERS ALL SAY LETS DO IT AND 20 STAY QUIET. SO BECAUSE I WON'T DOES THAT MAKE ME AN ASSHOLE LIKE THE GUYS I WAS ASKED TO BAN OVER THE WEEKEND BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T PLAY WITH THE RIGHT GUN? HIS STATEMENT WAS SHOTGUNS ONLY REALLY NEVER WORKS BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO DO THAT BUT FEEL FORCED TO BY OTHERS. Not because I wanted to force players to just use a shot gun but only to make the SMALL maps fun. We were having problems with people camping and that took care of it as I have not seen any more. But we have just started so we will see. Also before the only shot gun levels, myself and a few others did agreed on shotgun only untill someone else joined and even though was asked to use a shotgun they deceided not to. So we ALL just switch to other weapons without argument. Nobody should be MADE to do anything they dont want to so I agree with Phuckitman. If anyone likes shotgun only...come over to Hardcore WE NEED PLAYERS! PHUCKITMAN if anyone ask you to ban/kick someone for that again just type back..................... I really like the idea of a map in rotation that just has shotguns also if they could have a little more power. I hope Rugger can make the suggested changes. I like the combination of Shotguns and pistol/bash only (I am used to be dead in games and I think I have the most deaths of any game lol thats a winner!) I don't like it too when there is like 10 pple using shotguns and one using the M1 Garand...that spoils at least my fun! No reason for a ban but I expect EVERYONE who joins a game to respect the rules...and the excuse that so. doesn't speak your language is primarily his fault - he must see that everyone is just using Shotties or bashes or nades! But to prevent the whining we should put dedicated maps on the servers...like the one with the wrecked plane and the little tower and the fences and the bushes with the one bush that traps you (clear now, he!). I also liked Lego very much with shotguns. I love the close combat scenes when you are running in circles, shooting at the other who also runs in circles and you both got stopped by either a bash or a random nade that some Idiot threw at you watching this funny dance from a distance. Same with team DM. Don't like it, but either I play along or I just leave the server as I did yesterday when a team DM COD2 map came up. Don't we have a mixed server where the maps rotate from team DM, to shotties, to DM etc., and if not, will that satisfy those who like that style of play so that those of us who prefer to shoot anything that moves can stay in the game? Many options......Shotties Only server, Mixed server with Sniper only/Shotties Only/Pistol Only/Bash only/TDM or just add a map in the current rotation for shotties only. By far the easiest would be just adding a map to the current dm rotation that would be shotties only. I think we will start with that and see how it goes.
