Seems that I have to hit the refresh button to get the whole screen. About half the screen is black. Our website is the only place that I have a problem with. thanks for any imput. The website does not connect to any external databases and the database it uses is only used for XI purposes. The website does load some external content for example the gametracker server information, the world clock and facebook although these are only on the main page. Our website is a very big website and will not load as fast as one like Google.. our front page for example is a huge 10.7MB and loads in approx 12.26 seconds (NY) (location dependent). We could remove all pulls for external data but what would be the point? To not have gametracker would mean we would need to have our own display.. . Which I think we are using . This issue on the other hand is a really hard one to look at because of all the different type of browsers and plugins people use. I do know there are no adds in here. 7toes you have a toolbar running on you browser. I don't use any tool bars there're a pain so I would suggest you turn off off tool bars and delete them from your machine. When loading our website (front page) the majority of the data you download is from the XI server (10.35MB) which takes 97.9% of the total loading time, so only 2.1% of the loading time is spent loading the external 323.5kB. I will not deny that the website takes time to load sometimes and is not the fastest out there.. but if we are to investigate lets not make wild assumptions. . As stated that figure included connection/waiting and receiving which therefore would include any of the requested data being processed by its own server. These are reasons why the website can be slow that are known to me. 1. The forums are very image intensive (10.3MB/10.7MB on the main page). 2. 78.28% of the total load time is spent actually connecting to the server.
