Wow pretty terrible.

It's amazing how concerned we get over violence when it's on our own soil.

Killing innocent people in the name of politics, religon, tribes or money doesn't make them terrorists, they're just cowards. I say toss em out of perfectly good airplane at 10,000 ft. Done.

targeting civilians in any conflict is an act of cowardice. I feel for all the families involved.  I am just speechless. I hope those responsible will suffer a worst fate than those who were hurt or killed.  a slow and painful death...

I do blame this on our politicians and in the end on us living here who keep them in office.   Instead of futzing around with their political agendas they need to be concentrating on the important things, like funding the people who prevent this type of thing from happening.  Think I'm in dabda stage 2 now.

pretty much... makes me sick. If I was there I would have given them a piece of my mind... "look you turds, people are dead and all you are concerned about is saving a few dollars by stealing a jacket?!?!"

Things like that make me un-proud to be American.

Hmm.  I tend to agree with you on this sentiment, however I would caveat said agreement by acknowledging the utter complexity of running a country with the size and infrastructure of the United States.

That being said, I wholeheartedly agree that our government needs to be concentrating on the "important" things.

And the single most important thing IMHO is preserving our liberty.  So I hope to God that there won't be some knee jerk reaction by politicians that ends up further eroding said liberty.

All that being said, the task at hand clearly is to ensure our law enforcement agencies have everything at their disposal to track down whoever planned and executed this horrific act and see them hanged.

3 dead (so far) and over 154 injured, 17 of those in critical status.

First one to die in the blast was 8yr old Martin Richard ( Rest his soul ), and with that being said, he probably saved his sisters life by taking the full blast of the bomb with his body as he was standing right next to the trashcans that was holding it.

He was standing in the way for his sister which saved her life, but not the leg, sister was standing in the way of the mother and she in was standing in the way of the brother which didnt get a scratch on him.

Havnt read much more about it other then they think its a 1 man solo job, homemade bombs (low detonation speed), black powder and ball bearings.

Agreed, initially at least, this smacks of domestic terrorism.

Sorry, but this is a completely different topic.  Guns had no place in any of the events that occurred.

I agree, not the time or place for that debate.

While it is early, this does smack of domestic terrorism. It was Patriot Day, also Tax Day. That coupled with the fact the Authorities seem to be scratching their heads on this makes me think so. There was no "chatter" to indicate a possible Al-Quiada type threat.

Who ever it is, I sincerely hope they catch him and make a public example of him. This is one of those cases where I think the Arab countries have it right - an "eye for an eye". But of course we won't. We will either have a "humane" execution ("make sure that needle is sharp - you don't want him/her to feel any pain") or a lengthy stay in jail, if they even catch him

We should string him up and surround him with improvised explosive devices in pressure cookers, filled with ball bearings and nails, and then slowly detonate them so they remove small parts of his body at once - feet first, then lower leg and so on

And please don't give me that "no more violence" speech. The praying sure seems to be helping stop these assholes (sarcasm intended)

That's all I have to say. I am still too shocked at the senselessness of this act to be rational or calm
