Personally I applaud what he did and I hope it works out for them. I agree in part with "tough love" as a parenting style. However, embarrassing your own kids in public and posting the video on you tube goes way too far and has -in my opinion- no benefit whatsoever. School bullies will prey on them and it will be just a matter of time before they resort to violence, join gangs to defend themselves and end up in jail with a criminal record. hxtr and HarryWeezer 2 Awards

He waited till several F's on two kids. The kids are only doing what the parents allow them to at that age. He should have been paying attention after the first fucking F. It's not perfect by our standards, but the fact that these boys have a father at home at all gives them a leg up on most of their friends. Two thirds of black kids come from a single parent home, and the dad is the one missing from the picture 99% of the time. Twenty percent of black kids will drop out of high school, and one third of all black men can expect to go to prision in their lifetime. For all we know their dad just got out of jail himself and is catching up with his boys. We simply don't know the whole story. As it turns out there is a barber in Atlanta that offers bad haircuts for kids with bad grades. He started it because he did it to his own kid and it turned him around. It looks like this is a growing trend in the black community. If it works I'm all for it. http://www.techtimes.com/articles/30946/20150205/atlanta-based-barber-gives-bad-old-men-haircut-to-misbehaving-boys.htm BigPapaDean, hxtr and Scoarch 3 Awards

Give the man his props for trying to get his kids to do better in school! If we find out later he is an abusive parent then we can have a field day on him but til then give him his due! Him having to resort to this just means he is not paying attention to his kids IMO. Kids are a huge responsibility and not a pet. When you feed your kids like pets and hope for the best... you get results like this. All it took was one C, D or God forbid an F on a test or paper to get me into action. Plus all through school till the 9th grade homework was checked every night. I was afraid they would try and do tricks I did because I never did homework. I stopped at the 9th grade... because when Ezra started the 9th grade she asks me.. "Dad, can I check my own homework for now on"? I said as long as you do good... sure. She got tired of me correcting her homework and I ended up being the one wrong. lol I will call and apologize AGAIN to her for that. lol She used to get frustrated. I couldn't help I was stupid. It would be very interesting to see if these two kids got better grades and ultimately made it through college or university. Their father might think that he is justified in giving his boys “Somali warlord” haircuts to teach them a lesson. But is he really? They say that fear is the greatest motivator of all because empowers people to accomplish things in life. However fear is a double-edged sword; in some instances it paralyzes the person or triggers in them long term, unexpected psychological problems, deviant behaviors and ultimately failure. We don’t really know what these kids are really afraid of. Are they afraid of losing parental approval? Are they planning in their minds how to do better in school? I doubt it, but I might be wrong. hxtr 1 Awards
