Earlier tonight I was enjoying a game of FTag when my good lady brought a nice cup of coffee to me at my Desk (She Loves me lol).

But my joy only lasted a couple of seconds my bloody dogs came rushing in from the yard and boom coffee everywhere my keypad was soaked. So for the last 2 hours I have been taking the thing apart and drying it out.

When I say it was soaked I mean it was swimming.

Luckily for me its a mechanical Keypad but cleaning and drying all the little parts was a nightmare.

But it now works again :thumbsup:

So my advice when you have 3 huge dogs no drinks at the desk DO NOT BE AN IDIOT like me

I had something similar happen to me last year. I got my coffee and sat down at my desk and turned my pc on. I came to the XI website. I clicked on a thread and I got to a post and I was taking a mouthful of coffee when I was reading the post I busted out laughing so hard I spit my coffee out. There was coffee all over everything my desk, monitor, mouse and keyboard. Gull dang @RobMc LOL hahaha

A friend of mine bought a huge Rottweiler to protect her when her husband died

She got out of the shower one day, bent down to dry her toes, and the dog jumped on her and 'rogered' her from behind.

So she took it to the vets and explained what had happened

I understand, said the vet, you want me to put him to sleep ??

Fuck no she said, I want you to cut his claws

You can put them in the dish washer also.  Put them in key side down and use heat dry.  Works like a charm.

I feel your pain. I've had tea spilled on me a couple times by the good ol' faithful companions. But hey, at least with tea, you can reuse the bag for yet another cup. Just gotta make sure you don't bring in some fur along with it into the cup...not sure if that'd taste good...well, at least I don't want to find out if it does

Use these and your dog will not be able to spill these, unless he can push a button on the side of the cups.I bought them at Costco Canada for $20.00.

True story, I had one of the first released laptops from a certain manufacturer in 2015, it was a Thursday, day before I was leaving the weekly client engagement.  Got to the hotel's 'bistro' that I usually used to complete my work for the day and over wanders another individual that had obviously been there for a while. I ask my bartender to pour me a Glen scotch and she delivers it.  She sets it down to the left of the laptop.  My new 'Buddy' proceeds to knock into that glass and empty it all into the keyboard of a $5k laptop that I can't replace.  And at the time I don't have the tools to even deconstruct the computer.  He profusely apologized but I just requested that he go elsewhere.
