Search Power then goto power & sleep, under related settings hit additional power settings and which ever power plan is selected then select change plan settings and select change advanced power settings, under Hard Disk make sure the turn off hard disk after option is set to 600. See if you have any more freezes after that and if so we can try some other options.

I recall that error it's usually to do with bad ram you may want to also try removing a stick to see if that helps fix it.

That should work. What I think was happening is that the DCOM was not crashing your comp but that power setting was turning off your SSD periodically.

Your power options you need to go to advance and set everything to none also.

The 600 just means 10 Hours so if you want it set to 24 hours just set it to 1440.

Great that helps a lot actually but I would not worry about the DCOM errors in the future those are actually normal and I have 4-5 in my event viewer now. Like I said if you have any more complete bricks just make a post and we can work out some other options then.

3 Things,
1. Verify all drivers are up to date.
2. Goto C:\Windows\Temp and delete all folders/files in that folder.

3. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/solved-windows-10-freezes-locks-up-randomly-easily/ Follow this guide for Option 3 on changing virtual memory.

If you are still getting freezes after all of this then open up your computer and make sure all of the connections from your PSU if it is modular and make sure all other connections are securely connected.

If it still doesn't work then you will need to make a backup and reinstall windows then restore your files from that backup.

Kept getting Security kernel failures on a W10 reload, was using W10PRo 64bit,ended up installing W10 home 64 bit and all was fine.Never had that problem before so if your using the W10 install try downgrading the W10 you have, alternately!  theres this but  with mine the freezes or bsod happened anywhere between 1min to 10 min.....this is for a win8 to win8.1 with same problem

Evil are you running an antivirus?  If so try shutting it off and see what happens.  Seems your system runs when you boot to safe mode, so I think there is a program that is acting up.  And is this Win10 Home or Pro?

Windows 10 error ID 10016 is a notorious error that has been around since at least Windows 8. It is flagged when an application tries to start the DCOM server when it doesn’t have the permission to do so. While not a showstopper, the error can clog up Event Viewer with hundreds of instances. So if you want to fix Windows 10 error ID 10016 and clean up your Event Viewer, here’s how.

You usually only see error 10016 on a computer upgraded to Windows 10 and not on clean installs. It seems to be an inherited setting that the installer doesn’t overwrite.

As mentioned, as far as I can tell error 1016 doesn’t impact the working of Windows 10 aside from filling up Event Viewer. However, it’s always nice to have as few errors as possible so real ones show up much clearer.

Fix Windows 10 error ID 10016
Before undertaking this fix, take a copy of your registry just in case. You will also need to be logged in with administrative access or with the administrator account to make this work.

1. Type or paste ‘regedit’ into the Search Windows box.
2. Navigate to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole’.
3. Delete these four keys if they appear, DefaultAccessPermission, DefaultLaunchPermission, MachineAccessRestriction, MachineLaunchRestriction.
4. Reboot your computer.

Deleting those four keys will cause DCOM to write default permissions for the system and should grant access to the apps requiring access to the DCOM Server.

So I started the pc and went straight into bios. have let it run in the bios overnight. It has continued to run. so that tells me that it is something either in windows side or am I thinking wrong.  Or could it be a sata cable or the sata connections on the board ?

What's all think. All temps on CPU,GPU, AND MOTHERBOARD are all good .
