In the beginning, the flickering would stop after a few minutes and my screen was just fine. Lately it takes way longer for the screen to be normal again, around 30 minutes or so. I checked if the screen is broken, it isn't. It's also set to the right refresh rate (60). I do have one freaking old video card (NVDIA GTX 770) so that might have something to do with it. I Googled all possible solutions except for one, which is to completely remove the 'stearing programme' (if thats what its called in English), which means my video card I think, and then restart pc and reinstall the video card. Afraid that it might break or will stop from working I thought I'd ask here first for some easier solutions or people who dealt with this before. When my screen is only put in an outlet and not connected with my pc, the screen is just fine and isn't flickering, so I really think it has something to do with the pc. Or is it flickering off then on and back to off ? I suppose either way your monitor is going bad. Once it warms up it seems to run ok but as you can see its taking longer and longer for that to happen. I have to agree with @RobMc sounds to me like the video card could be on its way to the grave! This happened to me with one of my last video cards it would flicker then it would be good then all of the sudden Anomalies would happen and it would freeze the computer. I was like wtf. It turned out that the power cord cord at the back was in loose and as soon as I put it in tight the flickering stopped.
