Problems in the COD4 MW2-146 server. Blinded by EMP until respawn

Someone in game mentioned yesterday their screen stayed fuzzy for longer than 30 seconds after being blinded by am EMP. I had mentioned it never happened to me.

Well just last map it happened to me after the 30 seconds were up my screen stayed al fuzzy and I could not use my remote defrost. This effect lasted for about 60 after my 30 second count down clock ran out and did not go away until I died and re-spawn.

I can not recall the map name? It was the map with a small pond and bridge on the lower level. also there is a wall on the far lowest section people can climb a ladder and shoot from.

@WeednFeed Try to drop the mod and redownload it...That may work if you are the only one so far

@loaderXI Thanks but I don’t believe I’m the only one. Another player was talking about it in game on voice chat. I remarked to him that I’ve never heard anyone else complain about it. Less than 24 hours later I experienced the same issue. 
Hopefully others may have had the same thing happen and can chime in.

Yep, I've had that shit happen on occasion, being that I run around a lot.  Another bug I despise is being respawned from a killstreak back into my spawn, rather than where I threw-down a care package marker before I went into the killstreak.  Sometimes I will go into a car after throwing down a marker to protect myself & the care package I'm calling; did this in enemy territory once, only to respawn back on the other side of the map, in my spawn... & the package was stolen before I could get back to it.  So, needless to say, I don't do that shit any more.  =D

Thanks for info, but if it's not happening every time then it's going to be hard to pinpoint the issue. 

@Sammy is there anything people should be looking for when this happens to them that might point us in the direction to fix it?

Re, going into a car near a dropzone and respawning in spawn: I believe there is about a 15 foot radius around the dropzone where any player that goes into a remote control killstreak inside of will get sent back to spawn. So just make sure to get a bit away from it when you go into a car.

Same for me, I have it very opften, but i don't have seen the exact pattern of it yet. I just run away from the zone and sometimes it disappear, sometimes it doesn't.

I got it too, and I've stopped to do that shit, boring to get in the enemy spawn and respawn on your own. There is a pattern so easy to avoid now, just frustrating xD

Sorry been busy and away for awhile. I dont even remember much of what the scripting was like in the old mod about emp since so much of it was rewritten from scratch.

As for the car (and all the others like it), sounds like telefrag checks so players dont get stuck and easy targets. The default is that players are visible, for the duration physically occupying the space, and are thus shootable. Doing it with the invisible setting has some compromises and this is one of them. Just to note, telefrag checks have also been used since the beginning of the game (and thus a built in engine function) to prevent players from spawning on the same spot and being stuck in each other. Assuming the mapper included enough spawn points which sometimes they didnt.

For those that remember, telefragging was a popular method of killing enemies using the translocator. One reason why a lot of places shut it off. Great fun if you were good enough to do it.
