Standalone was pretty disappointing but since i started gaming again recently i went back and looked at the mod tools for standalone and how they have progressed. I have years experience in A2 Epoch/Overpoch at the same time I'd be interested 100%, I have the DayZ standalone since EA which was a disaster at the time but it seems to have improved massively now. All the DLC cost extra. I ran a server in what was once called dayz standalone "dayz" now and about the time i would get all the mods updated and bugs worked out they would push another update and break it all again. You dont really see the version until you try to connect and fail. Its still as dayz goes pretty sandbox in that regard. I've used G-portal alot for throw up games but all of my old hosting companies are sold to bigger players. Its alot better if you have multiple admins and you sound like your up for a new challenge. With standalone which is the steam version you can essentially buy and install Dayz and be pure vanilla up and running quick but it was to vanilla for my taste. When walk in a building i want to see loot. I found a server called 1pp full send im am really liking this sever mod set up. It has alot of mods on it and it took a hour on my bad internet but if i was going to build a server this is what i would want it to look like. You start with gear, money and food and there are loads of content. Full send appears to be a public mod designed around full load outs so i'll keep testing some servers and see what we find. I now have a helicopter so it makes things alot faster by being able to fly. Once you get dayz installed you will have two options when you click play just use the default the top option "play dayz" , this will open dayz's launcher. Select Servers and then community and filter for full send. We play the one in the screen shot above for now. Dont worry about dying you can run back to your body and retrieve your stuff and you start out with a pretty nice kit. So keyboard info is. M- Map 0- Leaderboard for kills x- full auto selector capslock - Speak voice to someone near you Numlock + to autorun - this is your friend Left Control to hold your break when scoping a target Thats what comes to mind this second, everyone is a threat unless your running with a group, i made some friends on there, just hit enter to bring up the chat, if you see senzei wu on tell him your with Intruder and need to see the tent and he will pick you up and take you to a tent i put up for XI , the one i screen shotted above bugged out or some one tampered with it so i blew it up to get my gear out and relocated. Hope this helps - they use discord for there community you can access that off the map screen / info and you can also set your own markers on the same screen. its a pretty tame server i made loot runs until i had 2mil and bought a heli for 1.8 and i died a few times to dumb stuff.
