Freeze Tag 1 players should we change the mod

Option 1 is stick with what we have

 

Option 2 is on server 8.9.5.213 port 28960, if you could please do try this mod out and vote on what mod you wanna see on Freeze 1. The mod the way you see it on 8.9.5.213 will be the way it will be on Freeze 1. No night time stuff, no MW2 weapons, No aristrikes or UAV,ETC. The one big difference in this mod compared to the old mod is more than one person can defrost at a time. The people defrosting 1 person the faster the defrosting will go. In order to earn an assist you need to defrost some one 100%, so you can do that many ways. Defrost 1 person by yourself, or 4 people 25%, or any combination of 100%. You will get 10 points for ever 20% you defrost or a total of 50 points for a full defrost the same as a klill. The only thing right now is there is no sticky nades. I will see what I can do to get that added.

 

 

If Freeze 1 is changed.....Freeze 2 will stay with the old mod, but I will add a few of the very popular custom maps to the stock rotation. I am talking like 4 - 5 maps

i don't like the way you defrost on the new server. it's the same as on the new mw2 server.

the people that play for scores will stop defrosting the people because they don't get enough points to higher their score.

 

i'm one of those that love server 1 as it is. i hate server 2 cause i don't like the stock maps - i need a map rotation to not get bored after a while, and i'm not a huge fun of the new mw2 server because of the way you defrost there.

 

i don't want to lose the only server i like... this server is the reason i am playing...

For me points or where i end up in the ranks has no bearing.... We are here to have fun and for me stats are just #'s. The thrill for me and is to have fun.

But i do got to disagree with you Zoe defrosting will still happen, Reason being---- For those who are points hungry also want to win--- And to win you need to defrost...   I vote change it and swap server 2 as you stated Rugger--- add several custom maps and rotate them as we do in server1....

I picked server 1 because most people that played on server 1 now play on MW2

 

 

And Server 1 has been dieing since MW2 came out so thats why I choose that one, freeze 2 is the same busy at night and dead in the day time.

 

We will see how the vote goes and take it from there. Its only been up for 40 mins we still have 6 days 23 hours and 20 mins to go

I put my vote in for stick with what we have.  Wanted to give my reasoning though. The new server fills up and has people waiting to get in. They tend to be waiting in Server 1. Sometimes that has both servers hopping and almost full. While most folks are going to the MW2 server, there ends up being quite a few in server 1 at times. Nice to see two servers rock'n and rolli'n.

Just my feedback...

I think Ftag 1 should remain the way it is; PERFECT! The primary reason for Ftag 1 losing its popularity as we know is the migration of regulars to MW2 Mod Server.

Even before this thread,

 

1) I have had many players confiding in me that they play regularly on the MW2 server even though they do not like it but prefer the Ftag1 server (They do not like MW2 mod's new inteface, lack of teamplay, defrosting etc). Their chief reason cited was that they prefer playing in a full server.

So they either play casually (1 or 2 rounds) on the MW2 server or join Ftag1 server when there are sufficent players according to their individual estiimate. However,after they leave the MW2 server and see that there are few players in the Ftag1 server, they choose not to play at all. As such, many of these players stop playing.

 

2) Changing the defrosting aspect changes the dynamics of the game greatly. The issue is not about score. The issue is that many will tend to neglect defrosting and allows them the excuse that their low defrosts were not registered in their Assist. Can't think of many examples the moment.. Heres one scenario: 2 teammates are frozen, 1 is frozen in a risky and/or faraway and the other is frozen in a moderate location. Imagine people looking at their mini maps and multiple teammates going for the easier one. And btw, who can forget that HOT SEXY hero that goes well behind enemy territory to melt you away? hehe

 

3) I would like to point out that maps Rockridge and to a lesser extent Islan Volcano is generally unpopular among the Ice Cube lovers. I notice that people start leaving during these maps.

 

Maybe some alternate measures could be taken?

Players with very low defrost ratios would be given player skin mod with their pants down. As their defrost ratio drops, their pants drop too!! hehhehe

I say do the changes and leave server 2 alone.  Server 2 since it has come out, has been my favorite.  Its the standard maps and most of the time its not loaded with sniper guns and auto g3s so u can actually move around and shoot.  I like the run and gun of 2.  Server one is mostly sit back and snipe or use auto g3 or rpd and u cant move 2 steps and ur dead.  Thats why I stay at server 2.  Server one mostly dies off and the mw2 mod is cool, but my home is server 2.   The plus of this is the defrosting, I got soooo sick of hearing, u stole my defrosts from people and i am like its a team deathmatch, remember what that is people?!  I dont go around taking defrosts but u hear that so much.  This is a game, its not about the points or who wins, or to some it is, but its about the fun.  Maybe a few more should see it that way.  I am voting, go with changes.

well, if you don't play on ftag 1 than please don't decide on any changes about that server.

i think that people that don't use that server should not vote.

 

and btw. if you vote for changes on ftag 1, your ftag 2 server will get changed too... some more maps, map rotation.. i think that means bye bye stock maps.

K first, I have played on server 1 but the main reason I stopped playing on 1 is explained above.  Now if I hadnt or didnt play on there then I probably wouldnt voice my opinion but I have and so I am gonna say it.  I stay at server 2 cause of the way it is and its explained above to but so what, they may add 4 or 5 five new maps, but hello, the stock maps will still be there.  Server 2 is more popular than one and mw2 is owning.  Dont matter to me really but I am staying with server 2 as it is.

I say change it.....I am looking at it right now and Server 1 is EMPTY!!!!  The MW2 mod has 29 players and Server 2 has only 7.  Why not try out the changes and then vote again later on whether we keep the changes or maybe change it back?  If the change doesn't work, we can always put it back the way  that it is.

 

I really hate to see an empty server......what a waste.  Change is a good thing....it might bring about some new interest in the server again.  My 2 cents.

i like ft anykind as long as it does not have all that night time stuff.  stats, points not a big deal to me, big bright maps me like.  been playing elsewhere, major bummer like ft server 1 but not much play, miss the morning regs.  is that a vote?

Ok, i have voted, and i do play on all 3 servers, all 3 have action at certain times of day. I can come on here tomorrow lunchtime and say look, Server 1 is near full, so is MW and server 2 is dead. Then at this time of night it is the opposite and server 2 is rocking and server 1 is dead.

Why change any of these 3 servers???? We have a Knife server that very rarely has anyone in it, also a Star Wars mod server that is dead most the time, a MW2 DM server that sees minimal action. Id say if you are going to try a new mod out, grab one of these dead servers to try it out on, not one that does see daily action.

And like Sexy said, i am one of those people who only play the MW2 mod when there is noone on server 1 or 2. if all three servers were at 15 players in game, i would pick server 1 EVERYTIME without thought.
