Sammy put out a new update for the MW2 mod. Give it a try and leave some feedback on here about any bugs or problems you run into. This post is not to report problems with the New York server so do not post on here about that mod. Thank you

seems ok though a few of the weapons aim seems off a bit but might just be me.if i find any other problems i'll post ^_^

Which weapons? And do you mean visually? Weapons have sway especially acog. Are you sure its mp_road? Seems to change sides ok at home but that is certainly far different than a larger game in an open environment.

 

Oh also, just in case delete the mod and redownload. Yes its a pain in the ass but if one of the iwds are not the same as whats on the server it may also cause that problem.

are we not allowed to change the killstreak awards? I get the same 3 choices in every class: RQ-1 Predator, Mk-20 Rockeye II, and AH-1/Mi-24.

I am only Rank 1 at the moment, but I would think we should be able to choose what we want, unless that becomes available after leveling up, which I can't do since no one is on.

 

 

EDIT:

I figured it out. stupid way to set it up in my opinion. I sort of understand why it is set up like that, but I bet most people will have trouble with it too. Definitely need to go back to the way it was set up in the previous mod. That was much simpler and more straight forward.

Looking into adding a 'select/deselect' text to the top someplace as a hint. However pretty much this is how the game does it these days. There is a spot on the left side that if a streak is disabled it is padlocked. It also wont highlight when a loadout option is open. I havent looked into it yet but it would be nice if I could use the same menu element for a checkmark. Just switching the image used. Otherwise each one would need extra menu elements and there arent many of those to waste.

 

As for the other style menu, there are some game aspects that wouldnt work correctly with it and doing it this way avoided opening up another can of worms. It also allows for much faster selection changes.

Everything cool with the RC and jammer now? There will be a couple things moved around for a couple perks in the future. Something needed to be added to deal with counter-uav and leaning towards combining eavesdrop with something akin to hardwired (emp and cuav protection). Tacmask will deal with flash, novagas, and explosives shock effects. Will leave the rc jammer with eavesdrop since it still fits with that.

weapons seem fine for me...ak seems even more accurate than before...

 

 

is the acr (bushmaster) constantly going to be blocked or is there a way to get it out?

Coins? You mean the moneybag? That means you got caught camping a bit and a price got put on your head. Whoever shoots you gets the extra points. The icon is a reminder that it hasnt yet been collected. Not sure what is meant by blocked acr, unless its disabled on the server?

 

Dont understand what is strange. The streak menu works more or less like it does for all games since BO but with less clutter. It does need a hint of some kind and thinking about what to do.

well the picking classes and customization on the beta server is way better. you have a better overview and you can switch faster. well me at least.

 

when i wanted to pick the assault class, i could pick any weapon but the acr wasn't unlocked.

 

same thing for that streak menu...on the beta server it's different and better for some...or we are just use to do it that way.

the mod switched from chicago to NY still isnt fixed at all imo. I appreciate all the work you are doing but this is a step back vis a vis the weapons. No ACR, not even a 3-shot. Steyr is worse. The MP5 sounds like someone is shooting it while their game is in safe mode and the spas still has the silly reload. Why make a mod where you reduce the number of weapons and make them worse?

Leave ACR, Steyr and mp5 the way they were and get a diff shotgun for the spas pls.

I know you guys work hard on all the technical errors but this is currently an inferior product, pls play the mod and u will know what i mean.

I would also swap the artillery and the smartbombs around, smartbombs 6 killstreak and artillery 7

PLS PLS PLS take my thoughts into consideration.

old mode worked very well..in new york server .did not matter that I ping 160...and and my enemy ping 50...from afar I could kill a player who runs 1,2 or 3 shooting now ...1 magazine...lol..can not play this

well changing these mods gave me some new moments to explore something more....i discovered (after changing 4 times my profile...right chili... :D) finally COD5 again. really like this modern weapons ffa server. it's nice!

 

i still hope that the NY server mod thats on right now will stay and that maybe the old one..the beta test server will re-appear on the chicago server...since still nobody plays there.

Please do something about this bad accuracy, the mod is okay but the settings.... men men men, its realy bad, cant jump kill any one, in close range, cant shoot someone close range, cars cannot hit people when u jump with a car from a roof on some ones head and explode he doenst die.

 

cant we use the settings from the earlyer beta and just leave the mod on and use tho's settings ?

only thing i was wandering is i thought the old aug was goin to be back in this....new one really sux badly..also i thought the car jammer was staying except that it was not goin to be able to blow up the guy jamming it...that was the best feature now go back to dying by car alot..that really sux

it's not that we're saying they're doing a bad job...not at all! servers are great but why 2 servers with test mods...thats the problem. or it was at least.

 

i think there are 5 to 10 people giving feedback about these servers, not more than that so if you would like i stop doing that and we all just play on these mods without changes being made and people wont come back... maybe thats what you want. :huh:

 

if the mods need to be tested, we will do it. giving feedback doesn't mean that we are saying it sucks, there's a big difference between it.

it's not only the aug that sux badly...there are a lot of guns that need to be retested and revieuwed...what will happen if we get some feedback.

 

you need 3 direct hits to destroy a car...so instead of defrosting 3..4..5 or more teammates you can only do one if you're lucky.

 

i do like the car to defrost people, helps out if your the last one...but maybe its necessary that it's only able to help defrost people and isn't able to explode anymore. and you can only kill it with an emp nade.

Last time all I heard was that it was too hard to shoot and kill. Now the default health is 100 points to make it the same as normal player health. And this is for a tiny car with a c4 charge on it. But if everyone wants an armored car, so to speak, Rugger can double that to 200. :welcome:
