Yesterday was a sad day, my family lost my grandfather at 94 years old. He was one hell of a man and no doubt had more than 9 lives. From jumping out of planes in WWII with the 82 Airborne to being a Philadelphia cop, he put anything on hold for his family. Seeing him almost everyday for the past 25 years was the best time of my life, and I will never forget it. RIP PopPop (Francis B, thats where the Franky_B comes from). Love forever your best friend, Shawn8 points

ADVICE FROM RON, A RETIRED HUSBAND . . . It is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they were younger. When you notice this, try not to yell at them. Some are oversensitive, and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman. My name is Ron. Let me relate how I handled the situation with my wife, Carol. When I retired a few years ago, it became necessary for Carol to get a full-time job, along with her part-time job, both for extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age. I usually get home from the golf club about the same time she gets home from work Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to rest for half an hour or so before she starts dinner. I don't yell at her. Instead, I tell her to take her time and just wake me when she gets dinner on the table. I generally have lunch each day in the Men's Grill at the Golf Club, so eating out is not an option in the evening. I'm ready for some home-cooked grub when I hit that door. She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating. But now, it's not unusual for them to sit on the table for several hours after dinner. I do what I can by diplomatically reminding her several times each evening that they won't clean themselves. I know she really appreciates this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done, before she goes to bed. Another symptom of aging is complaining, I think. For example, she will say that it is difficult for her to find time to pay the monthly bills during her lunch hour. But, boys, we take 'em for better or worse, so I just smile and offer encouragement. I tell her to stretch it out over two, or even three days. That way, she won't have to rush so much. I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and then wouldn’t hurt her any (if you know what I mean). I like to think tact is one of my strong points. When doing simple jobs, she seems to think she needs more rest periods. She had to take a break, when she was only half-finished mowing the front lawn. I try not to make a scene. I'm a fair man... I tell her to fix herself a nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me, too. I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support Carol. I'm not saying that showing this much patience & consideration is easy. Many men will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible! Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older. However, guys, even if you just use a little more tact and less criticism of your aging wife because of this article, I will consider that writing it was well worthwhile. After all, we are put on this earth to help each other. EDITOR'S NOTE: Ron died suddenly on January 31 of a perforated rectum. The police report says he was found with a Calloway extra-long 50-inch Big Bertha Driver II golf club jammed up his rear end, with barely 5 inches of grip showing, and a sledge hammer laying nearby. His wife Carol Anne was arrested and charged with murder... The all-woman jury took only 10 minutes to find her Not Guilty, accepting her defense that Ron, somehow without looking, accidentally sat down on his golf club. A hole in one, so to speak!!6 points

An 80-year-old Texas rancher goes to the Mayo clinic in Rochester for a check-up. The doctor is amazed at what good shape the guy is in and asks, 'How do you stay in such great physical condition?' 'I'm from Texas and in my spare time I like to hunt and fish' says the old guy, 'and that's why I'm In such good shape. I'm up well before daylight riding herd and mending fences and when I'm not doing that, I'm out hunting or fishing. In the evening, I have a beer and all is well.' 'Well' says the doctor, 'I'm sure that helps, but there's got to be more to it. How old was your father when he died?' 'Who said my father's dead?' The doctor is amazed. 'You mean you're 80 years old and your father's still alive? How old is he?' 'He's 100 years old,' says the old Texan. 'In fact he worked with and hunted with me this morning, and then we went to the topless bar for a while and had some beer and that's why he's still alive. He's a Texas rancher and he's a hunter and fisherman too.' 'Well,' the doctor says, 'that's great, but I'm sure there's more to it than that. How about your father's father? How old was he when he died?' 'Who said my Grandpa's dead?' Stunned, the doctor asks, 'you mean you're 80 years old and your grandfather's' still alive?' 'He's 118 years old,' says the man. The doctor is getting frustrated at this point, 'So, I guess he went hunting with you this morning too?' 'No, Grandpa couldn't go this morning because he's getting married today.' At this point the doctor is close to losing it. 'Getting married!! Why would a 118 year-old guy want to get married?' 'Who said he wanted to?'4 points

: Coffee and Testicles
STARPICKET and one other reacted to JohnnyDos for a topic
A guy goes into Canada Post to apply for a job. The interviewer asks him, "Are you allergic to anything?" He replies, "Yes, caffeine. I can't drink coffee." "OK, have you ever been in the military service?" "Yes", he says. "I was in Afghanistan for one tour." The interviewer says, "That will give you 5 extra points toward employment." Then he asks, "Are you disabled in any way?" The guy says, "Yes, a bomb exploded near me and I lost both my testicles." The interviewer grimaces and then says, "Disabled in your country's service! Well that qualifies for bonus points. So, looking at the regulations, you have already got enough points for me to hire you right now. Our normal hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You can start tomorrow at 10:00 am” The guy is puzzled and asks, "if the work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, why don't you want me here until 10:00 am?" "Well, this is a government job" the interviewer says. "For the first two hours we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that."2 points -

first off you never use a card at a gas station pump they hold over 70 bucks even if you only put 20 in so they get millions to hold and make interest on for a few days it's usually 3-5 days they hold that extra money..if you use a card go inside and use it to pay for the gas....1 point

Well, TBH, modding is on the way out except for the zombie genre and mapping. Not enough players to make it worthwhile for modders to start over from near scratch when it comes to variations on TDM etc. Most of the community has moved on to their day to day lives or gotten into making games for phones and pads. Also the advanced SDK's or items that go on marketplaces. Something they can make money on. A new guy at work, in college, is learning about games. But not modding. He is learning Unity. So some people say mods mods mods. Give us the tools. But are these people willing to invest the time and dedication to learn how to do it and make something enjoyable?1 point

Shotgun range (Trench and double barrel)
Drizit reacted to 2_MANY_BEERS for a topic
Had a lot of complaints about the use of the shotguns on DM2 server, so I made a change. I just checked what I had for shotguns range on the WRM.cfg file (weapons range modifier) and compared it to what it says in my CODWAW book. I did have both shotguns turned up too high. I can have a range from 5-215. Shotguns were set on 50. Trench gun should have been 45 or a little less, and double barrel should be around 25 - 30. So you might see a difference or you might not. Double barrel you probably will. Cheers Beers1 point -
let's see they're not going to let you have mod tools most likely be there servers 60 bucks for the game and then other 50 for map packs lol same old same old nope not buying that one1 point

As a volunteer Firefighter and knowing a lot of our county dispatcher's personally....that is a super tough gig. Don't beat yourself up about it. You're one of the lucky ones that got out before they significantly suffered from job related PTSD... It's a real issue with dispatchers and I have seen it first hand many times....
