Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself and extend a big thanks to the XI admins and community. I'm 40 years old and live in Northern California, who knew! If I need to flee the state some day do I change my gamer name? Time will tell... I've been playing Battlefield (started w/1942) and Call of Duty (Modern Warfare) for years and in recent times have spent most my gaming hours playing CoD World at War capture the flag and over the last year or so on XI's World at War freeze tag server. In a day when people are so "well-connected," that many feel even more isolated, the freeze tag server is bucking the trend. With familiar voices on each evening the servers culture is welcoming, friendly and fun. Years ago I hopped on and couldn't figure out how to play and moved on. I wish I had given it a lil more time to figure it out then. The maps changing weekly adds spice to life and keeps me on my toes. Thanks again and hope to see you in the trenches! NorCal_Jared

Two Irish hunters got a pilot to fly them to Canada to hunt moose. They bagged six. As they started loading the plane for the return trip, the pilot said the plane could take only four moose. at the end of the month i will be stepping down from admin for BF 4 .we are stopping the server at that time . just a big thank you to all the idiots that played BF3 & BF4.. I'M still here and will help out with anything . remember people thank you again for all the years of fun

Today was one for the books. Son stayed with the wife and I overnight for a visit. He is a mechanic. Asked him to take my wife's car for a drive with me to check out a noise. We get in the car and drive about 1/2 mile. We stop short of a 4-way stop as there is a black rat snake in the street. I like snakes and didn't want to kill the stupid thing. Fucker crawls up underneath the car. We can't see it. We both jump out to see where the hell it is. We look under the damn truck just to see it crawl up inside the engine / transmission compartment. FUCK....what do we do now. I know, my son says....lets find some speed bumps. Good idea I said. None to be found. Popped the truck up on the curb...crawl under the truck. Can't find that damn snake anywhere. We said fuck it...let's ride. Drive the mile back to the house and that bastard comes out from under the hood onto the windshield right in front of me. Funny as hell. Long story short I ended up getting ahold of it's tail and had a tug-o-war to get that thing out of the truck. That thing pissed and pooped all over my arm trying not to lose the battle. I threw it across the driveway and it's PISSED! It strikes at me and my son repeatedly until we get a coat hanger and get it into the flowerbed. My wife can now sleep easy tonight knowing she will not get eaten by a harmless black rat snake...LOL

Hey guys, I drop in to your cod2 servers later in the evenings for a bit now and then but thought I'd extend an invite to play CTF with us at OHMY sometime. (74.91.121.227:28960). Players of all skill levels welcome. Rocketman and focusedfrog who frequent the DM server play some with us but I hope more of you will drop by sometime. Team Speak is there as well if anyone wants to join that. We're typically on from lunch time until 8/9PM cst. One of our members has made roughly 50 maps in the last 3-4 years and many of them are really good. So if you're ever looking for new maps it's a good place to find those as well.
