    AMD RX 7700 XT

I have Ryder 7 7700 non x, xfx wick rx 7700xt with 32gb 6000mhz skills flare 5 and 2 m.2 drives. are msi psu bad? First one I have tried and seen. Didn’t know they even made psu before I got this.
  3. I live near Fort Knox, KY. The closest Microcenter is in Cincinnati, Ohio. 2 years ago they had a deal that made the 300 mile round trip worth the drive...plus, I was in the mood for a road trip. It's located surprisingly conveniently right off the exit ramp. Having built many rigs over the past 40 years- how the time does fly- I've learned through experience that you want the most robust psu to support your components; if some power calculator tells you X, add even more capacity. I've probably been building rigs longer than the person that wrote that power requirement calculator has been alive. If you're gonna spend your hard-earned money on a pc build, you want to BEEF UP that PSU beyond any question of its ability to support all those pricey components. There's a significant difference in the quality of the rails on higher tier psu's that enhances their ability to support consistent load demands & fluctuations efficiently. If I'm spending $2,000+ on components, I'm happy to spend 10% of that total on a rock solid foundation of the whole system: the psu. Not bragging rights, but peace of mind. The same psu I bought is currently on sale for $30 less than I paid a little over 2 years ago. Here's the link, plus the receipt for my build parts purchase, minus the 6950xt gpu I bought on Amazon. It comes with a 10 year warranty: https://a.co/d/39OvFoO

    Or 900 annoyed readers lol
  5. wow i see over 900 views of this thread hope this educates the DIY on getting to the issue. most is cheap venders making crap wire harnesses and people not up keeping the software / firmware on thier systems and matching up RAM (running dual channel mode)

  7. bragging rights LoL but reduntcy and headroom for exspantion of hardware later on ok now onboard and PCI-e slot video adds to the load along with capture cards etc mine 1K PSU lasted 14 yrs and seasonic won't even repair it, talk about support your product but time of build is the best of the best.

Nothing I looked at online supports that though. The calculators and such suggest 700watt so 850 already more. Where did you get 1000watt?
  9. Yeah, when he responded 850 watt to my query, that would be my first issue to address. Built my last rig with 1,000 Watt psu & wish I would've gone a little bigger, although no problems in the 2 years since building it. Always want plenty more power than the system draws to account for PSU efficiency, fluctuations & to give room for any future upgrades & hardware additions. @Nycz Come off $100 or so & replace that PSU. Get you at least a 1,000 Watt Gold rated modular.
  10. other your mouse settings set too sensitive
  11. Dean you check your loaded apps in settings if not see it there , then re download the watchydog and follow where is installed and look in folder for remove.exec Dean bext time before you install any crap SAVE a restore point now you just roll back before the shit enterd your system...... use OS drive usaully
  12. yeah Barron power was a issue in the old days when SLi was starting using dual or triple cards, I made it's own deadicated 60 amp 12v rall PSU for vidio cards and made video PCI-e plugs for the cards only by using a car 12vDC relay wired to 4 wire molex plug taken the 12v (yellow-black) for coil and wired to the green wire from 20 ATX plug pin # 14 for 24 ATX is # 16 to the secondary PSU green wire with Normally Open pins on relay so when boot up both PUS's powerd up same time and turn off. caution on the CPU and PCI-e plugs are looking same and are wired differant.
  13. Power issue or mobo by the sounds of it , AMD drivers are usually if not always bang on as in work every time. You mentioned you used gtx 5070 there too? The later 40 series and now 50 series have been reporting to have been melting their 12pin connections due to temperatures and voltages. If you have a modular PSU with connectors perhaps get a replacement 12pin or whatever is equivalent these days on the newer cards and see how that goes
  14. https://www.revouninstaller.com/ will remove any program and delete any files left after it's uninstalled. Click the free download on that page
  15. Check your system logs for errors using event viewer & system monitor. Google the error codes for clarification, if needed. Download & run a hardware monitoring tool like HwInfo to help find issues.
  16. Today I installed watchdog.exe, but it was, as they usually are, under another name until I finally found it. In my programs, it's listed this way! How do I remove this thing? Please help, I am in trouble!
  17. NP just check using the correct plug CPU_PWR1-2 for in the past a PSU supplier had them marked wrong and i smoked a CPU. i mean use 2 plugs CPU_PWR

i know how integrated graphics works and my cpu has it but i use dedicated gpu instead. i play other games than just cod 4.
  19. no PCI-e slot used and the HDMI monitor cable is connected to back I/O plate better proforumance, like slaping 4 barrel a tunnel ram on your ehgine with a hotter camshalft

what does this have to do with anything?
  21. some amd GPU are on cpu chip also intel with twice the size of heat spreader or LID or cover for have faster pipeline to CPU are called intergrated graphic chip by CPU model.

Maybe I should just drop down to play at 1080p instead of 1440p and get an even higher refresh rate monitor. I currently have an Alienware aw2725dm which is 180hz.
