Mods were tried to reduce hopping but were mostly unsuccessful. Control by Admins was difficult at best so the trend has been to basically ignore them for lack of any good solution. As I said, I do not mind hoppers but in my book any hopper is a less than skilled player and receives no credit for a good game in my eyes. If you want to hop, go ahead, it's allowed. It won't bother me because it indicates a lack of skill compensated for by hopping. In life some things, often less than ethical, will cause you to lose competitions. Lance Armstrong would be an appropriate example. IMHO hopping fits in that category. So I just ignore what I can't control. Hop all you want but also know many will only perceive you to be a loser.
