Here in California it's legal to grow a few plants for personal consumption, and there is little or no penalty for getting caught with small amounts. The medical aspect has been entirely shut down by the feds. We voted for legal medical use years ago, and the feds went after the dispensaries with a vengance and shut all of them down, including all of the growing operations. This even though Obama said before he was elected in 2008 that he would take a hands-off approach to the issue. The DEA and many law enforcement agencies stand to lose tens of billions in federal funding to fight the drug war. They won't go away quietly, and most of the very powerful politicians are in tight with those agencies. Kick your feet up, light a bowl and watch the fireworks. It's going to be a bumpy ride. It's also interesting to note that the government has no intention of actually winning any of these wars. If they did they would win sure and swiftly as we have the technology too. It's all about the money and that includes both parties and all involved. This is what pot has been for the war czars of the government a cash cow to fund other part of the so-called war. They have no intention to win as if they did it would be over in a matter of just weeks not yrs! I think they have no just reason to not remove it from the list of drugs they target other than it feeds the cash flow! They are not interested in protecting the citizens but their livelihoods! Personally I do not think it is any worse than alcohol which I do try. The legalization of pot in the states of Washington and Colorado is only the beginning of what proponents of legalization wanted. Federal Law takes precedent but now the door is open to contest Federal Laws in the courts from a much stronger position. Exactly what the proponents wanted. This will probably eventually go before the Supreme Court of the US with legalization in a much stronger position. Legalization of marijuana would be a windfall in money for both Federal and State government. Law enforcement costs drops, violence related to traffickers drops and income from taxes will rocket up. We are talking Billions here. IMHO a Win - Win situation for all. FYI if anyone is interested in my financial meanderings I just bought stock in Medical Marijuana Inc. Only a pittance mind you, 650 shares at $0.13 per share for a grand total of about $78.00. Hardly as much as a nice dinner out for myself and a guest. I had that money sitting and wasting away in a money market in my IRA so I decided to play with it. For example, 5 plants is a cabinet of a meter by one meter is sufficient. You can get a meter a lot more lost but keep this in mind that they also have less space to become great. If you have a whole room, we recommend you use no more than 16 plants at 1 meter turn. The more plants per meter you drop the less room they have to develop. If you are going for a closet where you will grow here are ready-made cabinets for sale in different sizes. On this site we (in our opinion) the best closet with the most potential for yield per plant. We find ourselves that you should cut down on the box and the material. This way you have the most high yield and earn the closet after 1x grow back. What do you need for a grow room? 400 or 600 watt lamp (s) Often 2nd hand and / or newly available from a grow shop or course through this site. We recommend starting growers begin with 400 watt lamp (s). Depending on the amount of plants you use 1 or more. Temperature The optimum temperature of the lamps is between 20 to 32 degrees and with the lights up to 10 degrees difference. Below 15 degrees stops (growth) process and you will see that you are breeding a lot less prosperous will go. King County prosecutor Dan Satterberg said his decision affects 175 misdemeanor cases. "Although the effective date of I-502 is not until December 6, there is no point in continuing to seek criminal penalties for conduct that will be legal next month," Satterberg said. Later Friday afternoon, the King County Sheriff's Office said deputies will no longer be directed to arrest or charge people caught with one ounce or less of marijuana. "Now that the initiative has passed, and now that the Prosecutor’s Office won't be charging the individuals, we will also not focus on behavior that will be legal under Washington State law after Dec. 6," said King County Sheriff Steve Strachan.
