Doing these COD4 maps is filling my hard drive up very quickly. I have 7.4 G left on my C: drive. Can I transfer some of my COD4 stuff over to an external hard drive that I have 394G free of 465G? What folder do I have to move over to the external if it can be done?

Thanks Beers

I wouldn't worry about it. If you have 7.4 "GIGS" that's more than a lot of people playing have on their entire hardrive for older PC's.

Delete some of the gay midget porn from your collection and you will have tons of room.

Try delete all but most recent restore point.Or use the housekeeping section of the downloader which will remove all the maps we are currently not running.

As Rockape said: the downloader has a housekeeping for unused maps.

You can also move the entire CoD folder to an other location. I did nearly the same after installing Windows 7 as second OS. (Drive letters are different to the letters under Windows XP)

I only had to change the game path in HLSW.

I has Just one issue:

In the first tun i got the error message "corrupt statistic file. Stars habe been reset. (this is the reason why i am only on level 12 at the Moment. :-/ )

I think this was caused by bad or wrong permissions for the files or the entire folder.

But i don't know if playing from an USB HDD will slow down the game.

Young can also delete older Update-Files On C if this is the drive which is Running out of Space.

You'll find a Folder "C:\Windows\$NtUninstall"

(This is a hidden folder. Be sure you have "Show hidden files and folders" activated and "Hide protected system files" deactivated in your folder options.

The files stored in $NtUninstall are only needed to uninstall Updates if one or more causes problems. If not you can delete them safely. In my folder you"ll only find the latest ones. This may free xxxMB up to 1 or more GB.

Housekeeping worked great. Then check all games and down loaded all running maps right now and end up with 33 G free. That will work. Thank You.

Reminds me of one answer I typed into a support request going to the tech support guys at work.

Q: Describe what you were doing when the problem occurred.

A: Eating a ham sandwich.

That's just great. I downloaded this program and it just took up more of my space. How do yo know what to get rid of and not to get rid of?
