Hey fellow Trekkers. I just saw the new Star Trek movie in 3D. It was freaking awesome. If you haven't seen it yet you really have something to look forward too!

That's all I will say. I don't want to give away any of the story. But there is a lot of this ---------> :laser:

Wife and I saw it a week ago today and while it was a good movie, not an epic one.  Up to 12pct are '3d blind' and the gimmick to simulate 3d doesn't work with them, I'm one.

Saw it Sunday, thought it was a good flick.

I love all that stuff but it does make the the previous series and the other films seem very updated.

Tried to get my 12 year old to watch the original series after and he just looked at me with a "Are you serious" expression ... lol

As for 3d, not a fan, saw Avatar in 3d and it was awesome, just seems now they put a film out in 3d just to squeeze more money out of ya without it enhancing the film. Plus I wear glasses and those stupid plastic ones always fall off me face

So much I could say about the movie, but won't for obvious reasons.  Hell of a flick!  Recommended.  3D and all.

On the 3D bit, I got the feeling several shots were made to enhance the 3D effect, not always with positive result.  Since the glasses are a passive technology, I fail to see why you cannot keep your glasses from the last show you saw in 3D and use them to offset the price of the next show you see in 3D. Instead of $3 extra, only $1 or $0.50 - after all, presumably some of the extra goes to the increased production costs, not just the glasses, so I'm fine paying a small surcharge.  But the cost for my 2 tickets was $28 and that crosses the .25C-Note mark, which makes it all seem absurdly pricy to me.  Add on another ~$20 for popcorn, soda, and Bunch-a-Crunch, and you've got a hellofa dent in your credit card.

I went and watched Jurassic Park in 3d and like it a bit but got tired of it and left half way through the movie. I need a damn pause button. It takes me 4 to 5 hours to watch a 2 hour movie. And I hate movie theaters because I have to sit next to people. So I go on Sunday mornings so the crowd is very slim. Watching jurassic park their was only one couple there. But still no pause button. I needed a break to sthreach my legs. Does not always pay to be 6' 2". Them chairs are way to small.

And them glasses. I already have to where glasses.....  then another pair?

I love 3D i have a 3D TV now so i can love it even more, i want one of Hxtr's cooking videos in 3D next, especially if he does it naked.  :hrhr:

Let me get started on that SOB! It will be a private video just..... for you. As for 3d.... I don't know how to get the polarized glasses to see my junk in 3d especilly when I close one eye.. the brown one. hahhha

Ok crap.. just came up with a new idea for a video... its going to make my house smell though. I think I will just leave that as a idea. hahhaaa

Will see what others say about it. I am not a movie buff like I used to. Movies seem to do only one thing.... action action action. I get tired just watching them. Plus crappy or no story.

Definitely DO NOT get drunk and go see this.  The row(s) ahead of you will be pissed as hell when you puke all over them from the 3D-induced vertigo!

I takes lots to make me puke... after the CG and the ship i was on.. had fins so we did not roll... wow that was not good at times. Was like someone bumping you side to side. Only diesel fumes and that ship can make me puke.

But I will take your advice and just not watch it in 3d. hahahahaha

Oh I take that back.. if I may my penis do enough sit ups.... it pukes every time. lol hahhahahaa
