I wish but  I can only add tanks to my maps but the rest are what they are. I will go back and look at the weapons once I get the maps working right and actually find out how many maps will work on this setup.

Turn tracer off they don't like people knowing where they are :) I've added a few more maps up to 18 now and they worked when I went through the rotation. Is it just me or does it look like the map switches are having a hard time ? I've also turned it it into TDM to see if its any better of a game. Let me know

I think the tanks are weak and the rockets strong....also there are not enough tanks on most maps except for umm...the castle on the hill one....also 2 c4s on the ass of a tank don't blow it but one rocket does...c4 is weak too....

can we add tanks so that there are lots this way most people will jump in one instead of 5 rockets hitting the one tank running...this has potential to be really fun...

 

If you'd like a lesson in the correct application of C4, see me in my study... :lol:

As with the satchels in the DM mod, you get a better result by placing the C4 next to the tank rather than on it.

One pack will take out the tank.

 

As for RPGs, the ones you can equip in a custom class are highly explosive and, unlike bazookas in DM, will take

a tank out with one shot.  However, the provided panzershrecks and bazookas on the mp_rhinevalleygits map are crap.

You can shoot those things at a tank all day and barely give it a scratch!

 

Has the Kursk map from DM been tried yet?  Discussed the suitability of this tank map with other players on DM yesterday

and presumed that Rugger had tried it out and hit a problem?

yea I had done this all on a stock Open Warefare mod. We do not have one running so I thought it would be different. But with errors and trying to find them I grabed a mod that I knew worked and now its running. When Beer returns I'll try the old mod he has a list of what maps run where and what one 's do not.

What about instead of simply adding maps with lots of tanks actually make it a Base Assault server? You add more tank oriented maps but add another lever onto it. I know a few years ago I was on an Anarchic-X Base Assault server that was pretty decent.

Phoenix, you must be from the COD UO era! One of the best ones EVER! Base assualt was a blast (pun intended!)! One of the reasons I play World at War is the tanks (COD2 don't have them..grrr). Haven't got into a map in the new server yet, but you can bet I will be there! Thanks for the all the work to get this working Rugger!!

Since this has been setup as team game now can the ingame voice be setup as well? When you talk now everyone hears what you are saying.

Good question to ask I can see team voice for sniping but I'd hate to cut out 1/2 my buddies on this game type. There is team chat though. Whats everybody think about that ?

Ok I took out snr ridge and replaced it with mp_cw_strasbourg. See if that helps. I'm going to change everything Saturday am when I get a minute or 2 to see if thing work better.

What I'm saying is in nam ft to can hit your z key ingame and only your team mates hear you and when game is done and at the score board you can hit your z key then everyone can hear you.

Got into the server last night at the end of a map, then changed to Seelow, another good tank map. Seemed to run pretty well, though I'd prefer the WW2 weapons rather than the modern weapons - but htat's just me!! M100 and FG42 rock, and sticky nades to blow up tanks! Also took about 6 tank hits to take out another tank, but otherwise runs great.

What I'm saying is in nam ft to can hit your z key ingame and only your team mates hear you and when game is done and at the score board you can hit your z key then everyone can hear you.

In ftag its really important to  let teammates know in private whats around you but on TDM with no ice bubbles its kinda fun to taunt the other team...my opinion only ;)

@@Labob Are you saying not being able to fill up a UO server or about putting the mod on WaW? I think it would actually be a good mod to install for WaW because as someone else mentioned, the UO days were some of the best and it was a very enjoyed game type for UO and I could see it working on WaW as well, especially with the number of folks we have that enjoy tanks in WaW.

Its been changed to a stock open warfare mod with extended smoke ha and the long range weapons.
