Lies, and the truth...
- When Columbus set sail most thought the earth was flat and he would sail off the edge of it. In truth, the shape of the planet had been settled since Pythagoras, several thousand years earlier, and Columbus' navigational techniques were based on the planet as a globe.
- Einstein flunked math. In truth, he was a math prodigy; by age 12 he knew more math than most professors.
- Newton theorized gravity when an apple hit hm in the head. This came along 60 years after his death.
- Washington chopped down a cherry tree and refused to lie about it. Invented by a biographer; in truth Washington was a bland, boring and uncharismatic individual.
- Franklin, the kite and the thunderstorm. Franklin experimented with electricity but never flew a kite in a thunderstorm.
- Blue veins, as in the legs of older people, are because blood isn't getting enough oxygen. Human blood is always red; the blue color of some veins is a trick of the way your eyes see color.
- There were 13 original colonies. There were 12; Delaware was never a colony and juggled between being "owned" by Maryland and Pennsylvaina.
- Old windows are thicker at the bottom because glass is a slowly moving liquid. Glass does not flow; old glass is thicker at the bottom because it was blown into a large sphere and then flattened into a disk by spinning it, which caused the edges to thicken.
- White Americans kidnapped blacks from Africa and began the slave trade. For hundreds of years earlier, blacks in Africa were selling other blacks as slaves, mostly to Europe.
- Diamonds come from coal. Diamonds are made from carbon; so is coal, but coal cannot become diamond.
- The founders were all Christian. Few were; Jefferson and Franklin were Deists who don't believe in the divinity of Christ, Washington believed nature was god; Adams was a Unitarian who also don't believe Jesus as divine.
- An insane Van Gogh cut off his ear. It was sliced off by Gauguin with his sword during an argument.
- Humans evolved from apes. Humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor; one did not follow the other.
- The Pilgrims were saved by friendly natives who gave them food, taught them how to plant corn, and had their first Thanksgiving with them. In truth, the Pilgrims picked Plymouth because 96 percent of the natives had died in plagues introduced by white settlers several years earlier and the land was unoccupied. What natives were left, the Pilgrims stole food and tools from.

Hmmm, not sure if I buy all of that Harry. Ben Franklin and the kite experiment is true. It happened in June of 1752, and was written about in an authorized biography of Franklin that he reviewed before it was published.

The last one about the Pilgrims is kind of bullshit as well. Their exploits with the local natives were well documented by the Pilgrims, who not only accepted help from the natives but fought with them against other tribes on occasion. It is true that many of the natives were wiped out by disease years earlier, but I don't know if that's why they chose that specific place. I'm a decendant of 2 passengers on the Mayflower and have studied their history quite a bit.

So now that we are all experts in these fields of study how do we in truth know what the real truth is. From what I have read those left after the war are the historians and they record events as they want those to come after them to read it. If that is absolutely the case who really knows what is truth and what is lies?

At least they admit they were not formed by Dead Dinosaurs (which is what was fed to me, and my reply was "show me one dinosaur Bone in any Coal field" I was thrown outta class for that one!)

I gotta bridge for sale in New York, it connects Manhattan to Brooklyn...Interested?

Wanna know?

EVERYTHING ON THIS PLANET came from space... Probably Even Life Itself in Bacteria Form....

Actually I believe my own eyes Sparty. I grew up in coal country, both of my grandfathers were coal miners, and I still have a collection of coal specimens with fossils of bugs and plants in them.  Sorry, no fossils of little green men that I've come across so far.

No argument that much of our world formed and evolved because of comets and whatever else was hitting the surface, but there are also natural processes at work that are home grown and not influenced by impacts from space.

Exactly how would claiming coal, oil and natural gas are fossil fuels rather than extra-terrestrial be in somebody's financial interest?

Check this out @hxtr

Q: Does lightning travel from the ground up or from the cloud down?

A: The short answer is from the ground to the cloud, but it's a complicated process. When too much negative charge builds up in a cloud, a bundle of charge moves from the cloud toward the ground in the form of a "stepped leader." As a stepped leader nears the ground, it attracts a surge of positive charge that streams skyward from the tallest nearby objects. The stepped leader and "streamers" typically meet around 100 to 300 feet above the Earth, forming a path for the lightning stroke. As electrons race from cloud to ground, a return stroke of current shoots up from the ground. It is this surge of current that we see as lightning.

This National Weather Service webpage has a great explanation of this process.

(Answered by meteorologist Bob Swanson, USA TODAY's assistant weather editor, March 15, 2007)

Please, I never said there would be little green me.

My point is, that people who run the Governments of the world (Which Is The Biggest Of Big Business) want to suppress the use of these fuels for a couple of reasons.

First and Foremost is for Money. The More You Meter and Stack Laws against the Use, then the Smaller the Cabal of those In The Business Become (Monopoly).

The Truth is, I don't believe we are capable of using up all of the resources on this planet. There is plenty to go around for longer than mankind will last here.

The Second reason for this Trillion Dollar Campaign for Convincing us to do without Affordable Fuel is Freedom to live and procreate by Ramming It Down Our Throats That There is Only A Finite Amount Of It. In Order to Charge What The Charge For Fuel You Need An Excuse (That's the basis for all business,"get it before it's gone", I thought Maybe You Understood That)....

The population on this planet has gone up 10 fold due to the use of Petroleum Fertilizers, we cannot farm the amount of food to feed the world without it. So the Theory is, if you believe the world has too many people already (like the Tyrants and dunderheads who run the U.N. do) then you need to limit the growth of the population through food.

Basically, Greed and the Love of Something For Nothing Permeates Every Culture Of Mankind.

So Telling Lies Like "There is only so much Coal, Oil and Nat. Gas" is an excuse to Charge Exorbitant Prices To Keep Growth Under Control.

If we all run in Electric Cars (Which is what is coming) then there is no way of getting off of the grid, Cause they want them to go no farther than a certain point till you need to plug into the grid and recharge....

My Point On Where It Comes From?

Hydro Carbon is one of the Most Common Things In The Universe, Left Over From The Big Bang and The Death Of Older Stars....

Our Planet Has Come Together By Collecting  Debris from a Nebula Cloud Left Over From The Last Interstellar Explosion...

That Debris contains Hydrogen, Helium, Gold Silver, Platinum, Lead, Iron and Yes Yes HYDROCARBON and all of the Other Elements.

Collecting Debris theory is Einsteins Theory Of Relativity, Not Just Meteors or Asteroids "Impacting".

Don't Believe Me?

Just Look At What Other Interplanetary Debris (Ex. Comets) Are Made Of.

You Guessed It CARBON And Other Assorted Heavy Elements And ICE. Maybe Even Bacteria....

The Crust and Upper Mantle is loaded with these raw resources, more than enough for all forever.

Please Don't Insult Me With LITTLE GREEN MEN.
