Right now I have 7 and love it. I have not had good experiences with 8 so I've shy'd away from it but others I have spoken to do like 8.1. Time will tell what MS will have to dish out. Awards

Microsoft is becoming irrelevant is why 10 for free and their app store is needed. I will never ever ever use an MS Office other than 2007 and below. 365 shit is crap. I HATE IT.I I have to say I agree with you! Like I have been using windows 7 ever since it came out and my pc has been running that ever since. Recently I got a windows 8 laptop just for college and shit nothing special about it apart from the terrible windows 8 OS, I couldn't get used to it and just simply didn't like the whole layout. There is many more features I couldn't get used and simply didn't buy into until windows 8.1 when it at "least" started to get useful. Windows 8.1 is a much bigger improvement over windows 8 , but it simply doesnt get the same feeling from windows xp and 8 (never mind vista). Windows 8 has better "security" and also batter "gaming performance" by about 2-4fps per game if your lucky. It never really tempted gamers to but windows 8 and to this day it still doesnt Windows 10 in my opinion will be another windows 8 with just a new directX "with apparently better fps across all platforms". Then again I havent tried the windows 10 test preview and would love to here feedback??? Edit: With the Steam OS made possible from the linux OS, then surely Windows are feeling the pressure from the game developers in terms of availability worldwide in the years to come Edited January 24, 2015 by Barron3000 Awards

Microsoft isnt becoming irrelevant. They are doing this to boost mobile platform sells. Hard to be irrelevant when 70% of computers in the world have your OS on them. They included many of the mobile platform apps in 10 but unlike 8 they designed 10 for a desktop. Their hope is that you like the way it operates on the desktop and get used to using it so when you look at a new phone you would get that phone. Probably would have been better if the windows phones had better specs and maybe even better looks. BigPapaDean 1 Awards

Well there's a ton of reasons to move. Actually. However the most prominent is the fact that they're no longer updating Win7. They no longer offer support for it either. It's just like when seven came out. Everyone will make a big huff and puff about not switching from XP. How Xp is the best and there's no reason to switch. Edited January 24, 2015 by Sinjo

I didn't, I've moved every release since 2000. With the exception of 8. I'm an avid WIn7 User and I'll likely be switching to 10. The milestones achieved by Win8 were only overshadowed by some horrible UI decisions. The OS itself is rock solid and sleek.
