We have recently moved and switched internet providers to get a better and faster service (100 mbps wired).

I was hoping this would help me lower the horrible pings I have been getting when playing cod2 or ace (150 to 185) but it did not make a difference.

Any ideas? I live on the west coast and this ping issue is frustrating.

Thanks

Joe I can remote in and an check out all your porn for you.

The laws of Physics has parts of it that can't be explained as the math does not add up. Light speed from the UK to the us is about 150ms. Them are high numbers Joe.

Haha 100mbps is good enough for porn. There is an isp that offers 300mbps but not where I live at the moment. I can go as high as 120mbps right now but that would cost me 25$ extra a month and I'm not sure it would make a difference

So is there a fix hx?

Joe can you do a tracert

To run traceroute on Windows:
  1. Open the command prompt. Go to Start > Run. ...
  2. In the command prompt, type: tracert hostname. ...
  3. You may have to wait up to a minute or more for the test to complete. ...

The ip after tracert in the picture is to our Cod2 DM server

IM NOT SURE HOW HOP 8 ENDED UP IN FUCKING PARIS

I assume latency is the issue I have to address. Can't complain though, our igloos in Canada are heated for the most part and we have electricity and running water. Internet sucks but hey! I can live with that

Joe, Everybody on the west coast of North America has been experiencing the same issue every since the servers were moved a few months ago. Some days are worse than others, but most of the time I can still play. It doesn't matter how fast your home ISP is, the pings are horrible.

The COD2 DM server is generally busy from mid-to late afternoon and evenings east coast (US) time. The TDM crowd plays on weekend mornings.

Hope to see you there.

Thanks for your reply LOM, I was about to send you a PM and ask you because I noticed that your ping is as bad as mine when we play. I guess there's no much we can do about it.
