For those who might wonder; no, it never gets dark here. The sun shines 24/7 in Northern Norway during the summer. Also I just felt like sharing the picture cause, lets face it, its quite beautiful.

Very cool. So do you stay up really late at night? Or do you see people around town at all hours of the night.. day or whatever you call no dark time?

@@hxtr lmao well after years you kind of get used to it, like its dark 24/7 a certain amount of days during winter (around christmas). You kind of just gotta watch the clock and not look outside to figure out what time it is lol.

And the sun at night is called "Midnight sun", creative huh

The time when it is suppose to be dark.

We are diurnal animals...not nocturnal like an Owl. Just like when the full moon is out we get extra energy from the reflection of the Sun.

How do you sleep when you are being radiated to be awake I guess.

So.. do you end up being up for like 2 days.. then sleep what you need then stay up again just because.. it is 2am... the Sun is up kind of thing?

Daylight!!!! Duh! lol

OK you Idiot. You have Day.. night.. midday.. midnight... Dusk... dawn...... evening... morning......... and others depending how you jive.

If no night... that excludes lots of time explanations. Like if you went to bed and the Sun is up but it is 11PM or 1PM. Do you say, "goodnight"? That would be mental if you did. Just saying. I think you would have to say if the sun is up..even at 12am.. "I am going down for a nap... be back later."

Even a little further south, our daylight hours are now 16½ hours long and, through the summer months, it isn't really that dark.

We do get to see the stars though.

Thought I should add some more pictures as it seems you guys really find this interesting, which I highly appreciate! These photos were all taken by my dad, he's not a professional photographer but he has a decent camera (which is necessary to take a photo of the northern lights).

This is a photo taken around 8pm and it shows the view over my home town. Its so beautiful!

A picture of me and my brother when we were out on a hiking trip (Im to the right). We're fishing at around 1am and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I've encountered. Its from a lake not too far away from where the first picture in this post is taken (took about 2 hours to get there). And yes, we were sleeping over in a tent.

post-24117-0-52810000-1465467992_thumb.jpg

And as promised, the northern lights. Im not sure where this was taken, but it was taken in early december last year.

Hope y'all enjoy!
