You can see herds of deer strolling through neighborhood streets & front & back yards on Ft. Knox in the evening hours, especially from the beginning of deer season.  They know they're safe & will not run unless you exit your vehicle or begin walking towards them.  Even then, they'll only scamper off ~30-40 yards & stop to see what you next do.
