If and when Biden signs the "Stimulus Package", the first $10,200 in unemployment will be non taxable. Should know by Friday if it passes and is signed. Anyone who has filed and had unemployment can do an amended return. To reduce their taxable income by the amount of unemployment they received up to the $10,200 limit. Unfortunately this puts pressure on the IRS and preparers when they pass legislation mid tax season. Morons !! Also be sure to correctly report your prior stimulus payments, you may be eligible for the balance if you did not receive the full amount previously. If anyone has any questions, PM me.
