We had a new newspaper deliveryman; my "old one" used to deliver the newspaper at 6:30 a.m. My dog, "Flippie," started barking furiously at 4:00 a.m. on mid-week morning, right after hearing a "thump" at the front door. I heard it, too. I always had my 4-D cell "Magnolite" flashlight right under my side of the bed of our three-story house. The plan was, since the house had 3 levels, and that I knew every level (especially after finding "Lego" blocks under-foot, at each level), I would hold my Mag-light, with its hefty, 4-D cell battery-weight with an aircraft-quality aluminum case--would make a nice club. Since I knew my house, I would creep down the stairs, middle-finger at "the ready" to momentarily-blind the intruder before I clubbed him with my 3-lb., 1.6 kilogram, flash light . . . This went on for a couple of weeks, until I just happened to be awake one weekend day and heard a "thump," at the front door. I saw headlights in my driveway, I was about to run upstairs and grab one of my guns, and realized: "It's the frickin' new newspaper-delivery guy . . ." Lol. Ayaq
