So, about a week ago, I'm chatting with Stan G, and he's telling me about his badass new PC, which he bought a freakin 2080 Graphics card. I told him my graphics card died a couple of months ago, I'm limpin along with an old shitty card, and I was in the market to replace it. He offered me his old one, I asked him how much, he's says nothing. I'm like hmmm, what kind is it. Its a freakin EVGA 980 Ti. Waay better card than I had, (260 GTX) and still better than what I planned to buy 1060. He paid for shipping, and I got it today, and slapped that mutha in. It's badass, and I think it's a helluva nice gesture considering he probably could have sold it for about $200. Stan I owe ya one, I appreciate it immensely. If you'll tell me your drink of choice, I'll send ya some. If everybody will help out an XI brutha or sista like this every now and then, this will be a much nicer place. Kudos to you sir. Hop in the server today and pull the map packs and work out any impure clients should you have any Also would suggest to all to change their hunk megs to 512 C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\28\players\your game name and open config_mp with wordpad you may have to give yourself permission to change by right clicking file/properties/security/edit/apply/ok seta com_hunkMegs "512" Hope to see you all there and as always a Special Thanks to @Painkiller>XI< for his much needed help in setting and tweaking this event up !

In the spirit of giving and because @StanG started us off with the '12 days of Christmas', I thought I'd offer up my backup video card for any 'XI member' in the CONUS (lower 48 states) that could use it. It's an Asus Geforce GTX 970. As you can see it's only a 4GB card, but worked well when it was in my old system. Should be in working condition, but can't (and won't) guarantee. Upgraded when the MB fried. Ping me if interested

If it is the steam version of the game, Right Click, Properties, Verify Game Files. Something along those lines. It will scan the game against the version Steam has and if you have any missing files, it will redownload them for you. Usually those two files come installed with the game. Have you moved anything about or made any changes to the game at all?

!!! HELP !!! ? OK so, I was playing yesterday, and now when I try to play multiplayer COD4, it says missing blinkw32.dll and missing mss32.dll files. ? I have tried everything I can think of, lately included deleting and then reinstalling the game, the patch from 1.8 back to 1.7 won't download for the same reason, missing files. Help me Obiwan Kanobi (ya'll) you are my only hope... Otherwise, I am off into other gaming worlds and maps and would miss you all. ?

Hey everyone, long time no talky, I'm missing the old school guys and wanted to reconnect on some COD. Anyone have any recommendations on getting these old games to work on Windows 10? Got to tell the truth there Smeg... Nvidia got sued cause the 970 only runs 3.5 GB Vram at full speed, the last .5 is much slower. I know cause they paid me $30 for the one I bought .... But the 970 is still a really good gaming card.

try these, they go in you cod4 directory i'm not sure about steam because mines a disc but it's program files x86 - activision - call of duty 4 binkw32.dll mss32.dll

In my opinion, I think it's the best COD out of all of them! The game play and graphics are amazing!

If anyone has a card that recently stopped working and is out of warranty it is worth giving this a go : https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Temporarily+Repair+a+Lost+Cause+Graphics+Card+by+Heating+it+up+in+an+oven/2240 I got 6-9 months more out of an old card that had died doing this years ago. I know Boomboom got some more use out of his card after I told him about it. It might not work and won't be a permanent solution, but might buy some time. Might be worth a go @X-RayXI.

hey man i don't doubt it i was good a llllooooooonnnnnggg time ago but that was because i played through the series start to finish and played on a alot of tactical servers and cod2 multiplayer was tough not as tough as united offenses but still hard i will admit that

i have a disc around somewhere but i haven't played it in years would be interesting to go back to it though

santa is brining the new cod to me,,I played the beta and loved it!!

This is a build I did for my base, me and my group had always talked about having a castle and so I finally did that for the group and I just thought I would share it with the community, it's not my best work, and I've certainly had a nicer looking base, but this is something I'm proud of.
