UPDATE Black Ops Servers still crashing

Sun Tzu, Tball and myself have been working the past couple hours trying to figure this out. We decided to move the servers to a different location and see if that would help to get the servers on some new hardware. So far in our testing the two server we have moved have not crashed once (knock on wood). So please get in there and test these out. The IP addresses on the servers have changed. Here is the updated list

The other one that is in Chicago will be switching also if this stays stable.

Played the new Ranked TDM for 5 rounds and it crashed twice. It had more lag than the old one. And it wasn't hardcore either.

yup i agree but no crashes but didnt play 5 maps but the lagg was a big issue

Ranked server crashed at 2:43 central.      it did good for like 7-8 maps.

Hey Guy's I have given up with BO Because I cant even play a single map without it crashing and locking up my comp so its now in a cupboard and maybe next year I will bring it out and try again

I played last night for hours on the chicago server.no trouble at all......... you should see my score I compiled on one round, Kick ASS fest...   this game will be great soon !  thanx for all the hardwork admins

Looks like the move to New jersey is the best choice...it hasnt crashed yet

I played on the one in New Jersey from 10pm eastern till 12:50am and then it crashed but it went almost 3 hours before it did.

Played 1 map on unranked and the shooting range map came up and locked up. That's all I have to say about that. LOL

The more I read the more pleased I am that I was able to return the game and get my money back from Gamestop.

 

It is even questionable as to whether or not I will try the game in the future. I was not that much impressed with the game anyway.

 

As mods and maps come out perhaps it will be better.

Does anyone consider that their computer system or settings may need tweeked. I have had very little trouble other than the server crashing periodically or some occasional lag. Other than that I have had zero problems. But I have a newer computer. So instead of blaming the game, trying tweeking your computer or ask somebody for help. It's a great game, as long as you can play it.

As always as time goes on your computer gets outdated, usually in about 3 - 4 years you need a new computer in order to keep up with all of the demands of the newer programs. Just a thought.

Well, Bush', mine is 9 months old, is a dedicated gaming rig with one of the latest Intel i7 processors running it and exceeds the required specs for the game big time.  If you visit www.callofduty.com and browse the BO PC forum you'll get a feel for the scale of the problems affecting this game.  It is seriously defective and requires patching - some people like you have been lucky to date but many others (certainly thousands if not tens of thousands) haven't been.  We all have greatly different PCs yet the same problems affect us all.  I find it reassuring to see that so many of us suffer constant freezing of the game.

 

While what you suggest may be true in some circumstances, it certainly is not the case for thousands of us.  I'm waiting to see if a patch appears soon and shall not be playing BO a great deal, if at all, until it does.

I liked the texas server mod that was on it!! or maybe it was NewYork.. I cant rem... But,   There was no TeamKill and you could push F to respawn immediately... And I like the killcam if u want to watch it so u can find out where u got shot from then go kill that mf!!!  LOL....  I dont care where the server ends up....  just would like the Teamkill shit fixed and an auto spawn or F to spawn on!!!!
