You do need to keep the registry clean - a lot of stuff can accumulate - left over from when you delete things - not all the registry entries are deleted Awards

But I dont know if it speeds up your pc as much as it may speed up the startup of your pc. Sure it always finds tons of crap broken path blah blah but your pc already knows its a broken path because you UNINSTALLED the program lol Look in control Panel/admin tools/event viewer and see the issues there first. That is most likely where the problem is, then Malwarebytes to finish it off. You start screwing around with the registry to fix other problems you will most likely be re-installing shortly after.

For defrag I'll use spinrite do it once right and your done for life. Defrag is such an out dated program. BTW none of this works on ssd's and defraging on a windows or vista build is really not worht it . But then again I also say using a tweaked config file is a waste of time too.
