simply tell the player he cannot activate the RC, Reaper or the others like it if he is prone and underneath something. Must be crouched at a mininum.

 

I think this option is the best!

And activate the car when you are on a elevator is pretty dangerous too... You can be stuck when you come back.

This is rare I admit. But it just happened to me yesterday with Fart_house_v2 on Chicago (I wanted to see what's happening in that case). Even if it's two different mods, it could be the same pb on the beta.

 

And please, can someone put the fart_house map on the Beta server, it's a great map to test some stuff... eheh :-) Thanks.

I would be for this option also, like EXE said can you put something in there so when your in an elevator you can't deploy either?

Had an intersesting thing happen on the beta to me twice yesterday:

 

I joined the game, and picked a class. I spawned, and started running, and the class selection screen popped up again. I just escaped out of it and kept on running.

 

This happened on two occasions (back to back) when I joined the server.

 

I asked others on the server if it happened to them, and they said no.

i had an issue 2x with the car stallin out or lockn up...and another issue is i found that u can only spec players of the team u joined but not opponents...as admins not good

just got 128 bones error on mp_townville

 

Do you know what player class you had? Arab assault etc? Also, which primary and perk1 weapons?

 

I sent the spec config fix to Rugger but I dont know if he has had time to do anything with it. Also the 10x crossbow for the beta server.

 

I might have an idea for elevators and things that move but will have to experiment with it. It would involve spawning a weapon pickup of sorts. I think those would stick with the elevator but Im not sure. But wont work unless the player can be prevented from trying to pick it up.

Ok I will check out the AUG. The error itself means that a particular player model you are looking at (or another looking at you) has too many tags in combination of the player model and weapons together. Including claymores on the hip and crossbow on the back etc. However since you do not see your own model it could easily be someone else... so you can blame them all instead if you wish. ;%29.gif

That is true. If when it happens you have a significantly different loadout each time then its likely someone else. But there is always at least one person who has a consistent loadout when it does and that could be a clue. Watch for weapon pickups also. If it happens when you pick one up then that could be the weapon.

Which map has it? I think it was the one near spawn that took you all the way to the top of the roof but I dont remember the name.

Yes that should be ok now. If Rugger thinks the current beta is stable enough to move to the other server as the primary I will go ahead and make this one ready as the next revision for everyone to try out. Or keep the older one as-is but replace the beta? Either way, just get together and decide what you want.

Yea that one. Just didnt know the name of it. I will run some experiments and see if a forced dropped item will ride it to the top. :hrhr:

 

Anyways, the switching sides thing is a server config setting.

True it's weird the first time we play. But if you lose the first round of the two on a side, you have another chance to revenge directly on the same side, so it's pretty cool in fact. Different way to play.

This may be working as intended but I got an AC-130 from a care package. When trying to fire the gun the crosshairs kept changing and the view perspective kept shfiting every .5-1 second (like I was changing which gun I was firing). Made seeing anyone and hitting anything very difficult. Intended?

That only happens if you run out of ammo. In this case the gun switches to the next higher in the list. 25mm->40->105. Then back to 25 again. The game does that automatically, like the auto-switch from primary to pistol.
