Speedfan is the best bet for a universal option that isn't manufacturer-specific

  • MSI Afterburner, been using it for a couple months now for my 560ti, and it's working great, helped me reduce my temps by 30F normal use, and 25F while gaming.

Figured it out, sort of. It installed one part of it, which looks like a monitoring program, Kombustor. The actual program won't install. I get the following error "MSI on-screen display server or any other RTSS technology based application is currently active. Install process will be aborted". I thought maybe it was because Riva tuner (haven't used it in a while so forgot it was there at first) was already installed so I tried to uninstall it using the riva tuner uninstal folder. Didn't work. Tried to use the windows program manager, didn't work either. Not sure what to do. If I just delete all the riva tuner files will that work as an uninstall?

Chris CTRL+ALT+ Del and end task on all Rivatuner services and try uninstalling it again. If that doesn't work then type in MSconfig in the start menu and tell it not to load rivatuner at startup and restart your PC.

Program is in use most likely.

MSI afterburner OSD doesn't play nice with punkbuster either.

This may work for you.Nvidia System Tools

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia-system-tools-6.08-driver.html

It enables overclocking and full fan control and temp monitoring through Nvidia Control Panel for GeForce 500 series and older products.

use speed fan on auto or just adjust in bios and put on auto.all the other programs you download may also overclock your gpu which i dont recommend. Many board have spped control programs like gigabyte does as long as you dont mess with the clock speed...you have to be carefull messing with these programs in case you accidentaly overclock and mess your junk up..
