If it has dedicated servers then i'm in...if it runs through steam and costs money for maps then it can blow dead bears...got caught up in the first one like that ...still have it with one of the new map packs...just didnt' bother when i put in my ss drive,,,,14 bucks for five maps i believe it was...i will pass unless feed back is real outstanding.

 

Steam SUKS!!! cant even get my original Black Ops to work... steam keeps telling me that the game is not available... lol when i actually bought the game in the store with a physical CD... not available my ass. FUCK THAT if BO2 is through steam... :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant:

 

I am with you on this one Johnny. So which is it? is it through steam or no? I too will get it IF it is worth it an not through steam!

took me 1.5 hours to download and i have a good connection .the game is cool but its like play station. no dedicated servers that i found. pick the game u want and it searches for it.

i know how to fix the sluggest mouse movement go to Settings>Advanced>Depth of field (low)>Sync every frame (No)> Max frames per sec (90,120 or unlimited) HOPEFULLY! this should free you from sluggest movements

game seems alright they have brought LOT grom MW3 to ops2 so i dunno if its really ops2 or just another updated/mixed version of mw3 and blackops1.

Actually there is... or was... a bit of a court fight about whether or not Activision could take the COD franchise into a futuristic setting. The contracts state the modern era and WW2 to Vietnam, more or less. The plaintiffs were the former heads of IW that were fired by Activision. Dunno if they settled out of court but considering the animosity between them I am not so sure. Also I think Activision's rationale was that there was a difference between future and near-future. So that is likely why it probably feels like MW3. But I dont have that game either and am going only by what I see and hear.

Yes it is through Steam, you either got to go with Steam or Origin and possibly other companies like this or just forget about getting any new games in the future.

tbh mate...its just to sell Downloadable content and maybe the match making system is less of a nuisance to maintain compared to dedicated servers plus you gotta remember the game was ported over to PC Edited by Cheese

there are dedicated servers. its just that you cant rent them. Treyarch controls them, and only treyarch, supposedly so they can try to limit the cheating, there is a better reporting tool, and supposedly anti cheat teams,

There is no browser iirc. So while the servers are there the only way to get into them is matchmaking. A dumb idea if you ask me but I suppose the majority of players these days want matchmaking.

i really dont belive we will ever see games without a steam or an origin type set-up .so the days of cod2,4,5 are over. they have found that as long as people will pay for DLCs then why do it any other way . very sad but true.
