Call Of Duty Ghosts

Can anybody please explain to me why when I picked up my game this morning it contains 4 discs......But when I insert the first disc it asks for the key then you hit enter and a message comes up and say's product now registered with Steam, Then a second message pops up you can not install then that's as far as it goes.

So I go into my Steam account and eventually find The Ghosts listed in my games and click on it and it starts downloading.......SO WHY 4 BLOODY DISCS INSTEAD OF JUST AN ACTIVATION CODE ???

you just run the setup again enter the key again and it will tell you that key is active already , click next and it will install from the discs. Compared to downloading through steam which will take longer.

 

 

And reason for 4 discs is because its roughly a 35gb game lol

Updates made since the DVD pressing was locked in. They likely started making the retail product at least two months ago.

Johnny you should be fine to play it I have the gtx 470 and its set at high res playing fine mate

Yes Freeze I see where you are coming from but I managed to download it straight from Steam in 17 min's because I am lucky enough to have an amazing download speed from my ISP so all is good and enjoying the game a hell of a lot lol.

most games run through those third party apps....where oh where have the cod4 type of dedicated servers gone?,,,it's a shame really

RIGHT GUY'S unless the multiplayer is out of this world the game is not worth the money.....The story line sucks from start to finish at first you think ok maybe then it just plods with no real challenge I always start a new game on regular but I found myself changing this to max just to get a bit more of a buzz..

Really is a major let down but I should have expected this.... more activision crap  

 

I will let you know about the multiplayer after I have played a few maps.....

from what i hear the game is shit ..people want there money back..but that's what you get for buying from people that can't get out of the 1990 'ds ..rougekill said it is cod waw all over ..and wants his 120.00 back..remember that BF3 and BF4  rock and we have a great time playing as a team..good luck with the COD  games ..never again after mw3...

Is too bad Activision is evil with greed, Call of Duty was the reason I got a nice computer, and joined this clan. At least Bf 4 will be a great game soon, when its patched a couple more times. Bf 3 was always pretty good after the first month..

Whats really funny is how Activision tried to pull a fast one with their first day sales figures. Even funnier is how some of the usual suspects in the gaming article world didnt catch it and later had to do 'updates' when it was pointed out to them. Egg on their faces since it made them look like cheerleaders. The problem? The first day figures are sales to the retailers not to customers.

The Root of all Activision evil is Kotick! In 2010 he took the helm and COD was doomed, PC gaming at Activision was doomed. He publicly said he would charge us $100+ for each game if he could. He won't give us mapping tools because we could create our own maps for free, well then we wouldn't buy his shitty DLC packs for lots of money. He won't give us server files for dedicated servers unless he has a deal with the server company and gets more of your money that way. He pretty much killed Infinity Ward by playing Overlord and forcing them to his will. All of the original top guys left Infinity ward because of him. Call Of Duty will never, ever be what it once was. Greed is all this guy knows and it will be a great day when he is gone except, of course, for the shareholders. He has set a precedence at Activision and it will likely continue even after he is gone. DICE gets it and will continue to harvest players disappointed with COD to the BF series.

 

I dislike him to the inth degree.

 

We need new games from PC centric developers.

On the other hand DICE has said in the past it wont release tools in part because they dont think the community is good enough to learn how to use them. Which I find particularly insulting. Its all about the DLC for them as well.

I own the game, but i can say i dont have this laggy crap that he had. its realy him having problems with his hardware for sure. 

 

But with all do respect, its not a next gen game, the visuals are okay i guess when everything is on high, u are able to see some HD effects but its defo not what we wanted it to be. U can compare it with mw3. same shit, same sort of maps ( still small ) i dont have seen any special effects so far in 2 days. I even think that if COD is not gonna work verry hard on this, its going to die next year. 

 

Next Gen: Nah! Dont waste ur money on this game like i did. U would be sorry for your self onces you do.
